Harrington Happenings
March 31, 2026
Happy Tuesday Harrington Families!!
The long month of March has been a meaningful and energizing month here at Harrington. As we begin to see early signs of spring, there has been a noticeable sense of growth—both academically and within our school community.
Celebrating Our School Community
This month, we were proud to welcome artist Bren Bataclan, who completed an incredible mural centered on kindness. The mural highlights student work and serves as a lasting visual reminder of the importance of how we treat one another. It has already become a point of pride within our building and a reflection of the positive culture we continue to build together.
We also enjoyed a fantastic evening at our HPTO Glow Dance. It was great to see so many students and families come together, with everyone truly embracing the spirit of the event. The energy, excitement, and sense of community made it a memorable night for all who attended.
Character Focus: Integrity
Our character focus for the month of March has been integrity. Throughout the month, I had the opportunity to visit classrooms and read Say Something! by Peter H. Reynolds with students. These conversations allowed us to explore what it means to do the right thing, even when it may be difficult, and how our actions impact others.
Students engaged thoughtfully in these discussions, and it was encouraging to hear their perspectives. Building a strong sense of integrity at a young age is essential, and it is a trait that will continue to guide them as they grow both inside and outside of school.
A Month of Growth and Momentum
March is an important time in the school year as classrooms continue to build on the strong foundation established earlier. Students are being challenged to think more deeply, work more independently, and take increasing ownership of their learning. We continue to see growth not only academically, but also in confidence, responsibility, and collaboration.
Consistency and Expectations
With the seasonal shift often comes increased energy, and we remain focused on maintaining clear and consistent expectations for all students. Our goal is to support students in channeling that energy in positive ways while continuing to contribute to a respectful and productive school environment.
Looking Ahead
As we move forward, we will continue to build on the strong momentum established this month. Thank you for your continued partnership and support in making Harrington such a positive and connected school community.
Thank you for your partnership and for the trust you place in us each day. Harrington is stronger because of the families who support it.
Once again, remember to…"Stay Respectful, Stay Responsible, Stay Ready . . . . Embrace the challenges, learn from mistakes, and have fun."
Be safe! Stay well!
