October 20β24 | National K12 Zones
Itβs time to celebrate school pride, creativity, and connection across K12!
Each student or staff member who enters the National K12 Zone adds air to their schoolβs balloon β and the first school to pop it wins a mascot statue in every National Zone for November!

Encourage your students to visit the National K12 Zone each day next week β even for 5 minutes during homeroom or the end of class β to complete the School Spirit Check-In.

π‘ Zone Pro Tip of the Week: How to Create Invisible Assets with Collision
Want to keep students from walking through walls or off paths? You can create transparent (invisible) assets in Canva to use as barriers in the K12 Zone!
π¨ How to Make a Transparent Asset in Canva
-
Go to Canva.com and click Custom Size.
-
Enter your desired dimensions (e.g., 300 Γ 100 px) β this controls the shape of your barrier.
-
Click Elements β Square, stretch it to fill your canvas, and change its color to transparent (no color).
-
Click Share β Download, then select PNG and check Transparent Background.
-
Download the file β this is your invisible asset!
ποΈ How to Add Collision in the K12 Zone
-
In your Zone, click Assets β Upload Asset.
-
Name it (e.g., Transparent Rectangle) and upload it as a Bottom Layer asset.
-
Place it anywhere you want to block movement.
-
Go to Layers β Apply Collision.
β You now have an invisible barrier students canβt walk through!
π Pro Tip:
Duplicate or rotate your transparent asset to quickly create custom boundaries β perfect for keeping students inside a game area or activity space.
