2nd GradeNewsletter September 1-5

What a great start to the year! We got to meet the Counselor this week, dig in to our Kindness Kickoff with our Morning Meetings, and establish some great friendships among our peers. It has been so nice to see the students take our morning discussions and spread kindness in many different ways during the school day.

Reminder: Monday and Tuesday are student holidays. Enjoy the long weekend!

We are very excited to share that our students have the opportunity to participate in the University Interscholastic League (UIL) A+ Academics Competition! Students who are interested in learning, practicing, and competing in these events will receive practice materials and resources through Google Classroom to help them prepare for their events at home.

In early November, students will take part in a Campus Meet held after school. This meet will allow them to showcase what they have learned. The ten highest-scoring students in each event per grade level will advance to the Competition Team and represent our campus at the Zone Meet in February. Following the Zone UIL meet, the top six (6) students in each event, in each grade level will advance to the District meet on Saturday, March 7, 2026.

You will be able to indicate areas of interest for your student. Please keep in mind that there may be conflicts with practice and/or competition times, and it may not be possible to participate in multiple events. Windsong Ranch UIL Interest Form
