Impact Aid Program Survey Form - Due by November 19th

Attached is our annual Impact Aid Program Survey and Letter. If you have a student whose parent or guardian lives or works on federal property or is an active-duty military service member, we kindly ask that you complete this important survey.

Each year, the federal government provides funding to eligible school districts through the Impact Aid Program. This funding helps support our schools and students, and it is important that District 49 receives its share of these funds.

To help ensure our district receives all eligible funding, we ask that families complete one survey for each child and return the completed forms to their child's school by November 19th.

We sincerely appreciate your time and continued support of District 49. Thank you for helping us secure valuable resources for our students and schools!

King Soopers Community Rewards Program

We’re excited to share a simple way you can support our schools and the Yeti Campus Student Council without spending any extra money!

The Yeti Campus Student Council, a joint student council representing Springs Studio for Academic Excellence and Pikes Peak Early College, has partnered with the King Soopers Community Rewards Program. Through this program, King Soopers sets aside a portion of eligible purchases and sends a rewards amount back to our school each quarter.

The best part? You don’t pay anything extra! You can support our students simply by linking your King Soopers loyalty account to our school and continuing to shop as you normally do.

How to Support Us

  1. Visit King Soopers and log in to your account.
  2. Search for Springs Studio for Academic Excellence by name or enter our organization number: HS013.
  3. Select Enroll to connect your account to our school.
  4. Continue shopping as usual! A portion of your eligible purchases will help support the Yeti Campus Student Council.

If you’re a City Market shopper, you can visit City Market and follow the same steps.

If you use the King Soopers app, click your profile (top-left corner), then click payment and resources, community rewards, and search for our school to enroll.

You can also spread the word! Family members, friends, neighbors, and anyone else who shops at King Soopers or City Market can link their loyalty account to our school. The more supporters we have, the more we can earn for our students!

If you don’t already have a King Soopers or City Market account, you can create one using a valid email address and loyalty card.

Thank you for supporting our students and the Yeti Campus Student Council! Every little bit adds up and helps us provide opportunities and experiences for our students.

Yeti Robotics Builds Momentum for a Big Competition Season

Twelve Teams, One Busy Season
Robotics at The Campus is one of the largest programs in Colorado, with seven high school teams and five middle school teams competing this season. Across those 12 teams, students are turning ideas into working machines—and putting their designs to the test against competitors from across the Front Range and Colorado.
The goals are ambitious: earn a place at the Colorado State Championship and, ultimately, the VEX World Championships. Getting there takes months of engineering, planning, testing, and teamwork.
Students Take the Lead
Competitive robotics asks students to do much more than build a robot. Teams apply the engineering design process and project management principles while taking responsibility for their own decisions, deadlines, and progress.
Students design, build, and program their machines, then use testing and competition results to figure out what needs to change. A promising idea might need several revisions before it performs reliably on the field. Along the way, students learn to explain their reasoning, divide responsibilities, and work through setbacks together.
The robot is the most visible result, but the work behind it is just as significant.
T-Rex Makes an Early Run
Some teams have already had a taste of success. Last month, 3642R T-Rex made a deep run at the Great Planes Signature Event at Strategic Air Command in Ashland, Nebraska.
Signature Events bring together strong teams for demanding competition, giving students a chance to test their designs and strategies at a high level. T-Rex’s performance provided an early highlight for The Campus, while teams across the program are working toward qualifying for more of these prestigious events.
A Growing Home Competition Season
The Campus is also preparing to host a busy season of its own. The opening league session on the South Campus welcomes teams from Doherty High School, Sabin Middle School, James Irwin Charter School, Twelve Stones Classical School, and Widefield High School.
Beyond league play, The Campus will host three major tournaments, each 50 percent larger than the biggest tournament held here last season. Six competition fields will transform both sides of the building into a venue where students can put months of work into action.
For families, classmates, and staff, home events offer a close look at what competitive robotics requires: quick decisions, careful coordination, and machines that must perform under pressure.
A Community Behind the Teams
Hosting these events takes support from across The Campus. Staff share learning spaces, volunteers help prepare competition fields, and families help make visiting teams feel welcome. The comfortable, relaxed atmosphere has made The Campus a place teams enjoy coming to compete.
That community support creates opportunities for students to grow as engineers, programmers, project managers, and teammates. Each event gives them another chance to see what works, learn from what doesn’t, and return to the next challenge better prepared.
Students, families, and staff are invited to watch matches and cheer on our teams. If you’d like to volunteer or get involved, please reach out—we’d love to have you join us.
Go Big, Go Yetis!

High School Student ICAP (Individual Career and Academic Plan) Day! High School Student ICAP (Individual Career and Academic Plan) Day!

We are so excited to announce that November is Career Development Month, and our 6th annual ICAP Day and Career Fair falls on Career Development Day, making it the perfect time for all students (full virtual and blended) to explore careers, connect with professionals, and start thinking intentionally about what comes next. This is more than just a Career Fair — it is a full day designed to help students discover possibilities, build skills, and make connections for their future. Students can look forward to: Career-focused breakout sessions; a Career Fair featuring local businesses, organizations, and career professionals; Prizes and giveaways; Food trucks; entertainment; and activities throughout the day. Participation in ICAP activities is an important part of each student’s graduation requirements and planning. These experiences help students explore their interests, identify future goals, and better understand the education, training, and career pathways available to them. All 9th–11th grade students are expected to attend the entire day. Seniors are highly encouraged to attend the Career Fair portion of the event to connect with employers, training programs, military representatives, and other organizations as they prepare for life after graduation. We are looking forward to an exciting day of exploration, connection, and opportunity. The Campus Annual ICAP & Career Day is on Wednesday, Nov. 18th.

Teachers will be sharing more information with students as the event draws closer. We hope every student takes advantage of this opportunity to explore what their future could look like! So students... get ready! Build Your Future.... Own Your Future!
