Daily Reminders
Dress Code
To maximize academic learning time, your child must come to school dressed in accordance with the campus policy outlined in the handbook.
Away for the Day
- Personal Electronic Devices cannot be used from 8:30 a.m.-3:55 p.m. in accordance with HB 1481
- To help us with this effort, if you need to get a message to your child please call the front office at (210)397-3600
Tardy Policy + 10 & 10 Rule
- We highly encourage all students to get to class on time
- Struggling students should communicate with their teachers about the most efficient way to get to class
- In addition, because all research shows that the most critical time of a classroom lesson is the first and last ten minutes of class, we will be adopting the 10 & 10 rule this year
- Students are not allowed to leave during the first or last ten minutes of class.
Delivery Updates
- Deliveries of any kind will not be accepted on the campus.
- This includes, but is not limited to food, flowers, or balloons.
- These and any other type of delivery are a safety and security concern and will not be permitted on the campus
Vaping Information & Upcoming NISD Community Safety Forum
Vaping among young people is on the rise, and it poses serious health risks. Recent legislation means that any student caught with vaping devices will face consequences, including mandatory placement in an Alternative Education Placement (AEP or alternative school). It's crucial to start the conversation about the dangers of vaping at home. We encourage you to learn more about the risks, the new law, and how you can help protect your child's health and academic future. You can find that information on our district website β nisd.net/vape-free. Together, we can create a safer, healthier environment for our students.
NISD Parent Resources
Home Access Center (HAC)
HAC is a great way for you to be able to keep up with student grades, attendance, and state test summary information. You can set triggers that will keep you aware of important information pertaining to your student(s) academic progress. Here is great resource: https://www.nisd.net/parents

Mental Health & Wellness
Taking care of our mental health is just as important as taking care of our physical health. Small habits: getting enough rest, staying connected with others, practicing mindfulness, and taking breaks can make a big difference in our overall well-being.
We encourage our Skyhawks and families to check in with themselves and remember: itβs okay to ask for help when you need it. Take a look at the resources below for helpful wellness tips and available support. π
