OWL NEWS
VOLUME 12 - FEBRUARY 15, 2025
Dear Owl Families,
Riverside has been buzzing with excitement!
All scholars recently took their Winter NWEA/MAP assessments and we are so proud of the growth! Currently, our English Language Learners are taking their OELPA state assessment. Our Middle School Dance was a huge success, bringing students together for a night of fun, music, and memories. We also had an incredible field trip to Cleveland State, where students cheered on the women’s basketball team and got inspired by the energy of college athletics. Speaking of basketball, please join us in sending a special congratulations to our Girls’ Middle School Basketball Team on securing their first victory—what a milestone! Go Vikings and Owls!
Beyond these special moments, amazing learning is happening in our classrooms every day, as our scholars continue to grow, explore, and challenge themselves. Riverside is truly soaring! 🚀
We are grateful for your continued partnership,
Ms. Kama-Starr and Mr. Cohen

February is Dental Health Month! Nurse Upperman will be conducting educational sessions throughout the building to emphasize the importance of strong dental health. Let's work together to ensure our scholars maintain healthy smiles! 🦷
The Cleveland Clinic mobile unit will be here on February 26, 2025. We also are thrilled to welcome the Mobile Dentists on March 11th and 12th. Please reach out to Ms. Upperman if you would like your child seen by these services.
Enjoy the long weekend. Take this time to get plenty of rest and stay healthy. There's a lot of illness going around, so make sure to take care of yourselves and each other.
