Dear Parents and Community Members,

School Advisory Council School Advisory Council

Thank you to our School Advisory Council for spending time recently walking around our school grounds identifying areas of maintenance or improvements. During the school holidays, our groundsman, Mr Rob, will be renovating the school office. Our school turns 30 this year, and the office was built for a school half the size that it is now. An upgrade is needed for functionality and aesthetics. I really appreciate the work and support provided by the members of our School Advisory Council.

P & F Thanks P & F Thanks

Wow, what a wonderful event our school Disco turned out to be! Thankyou to the P&F for organising this event for our students to have so much fun and make lasting memories.

Andrew Chinn Andrew Chinn

We were very lucky to have Andrew Chinn from the Butterfly House group, visit our school last week to conduct workshops with each year level from Pre-primary to Year 6 and then present a whole school concert in the afternoon.

Andrew is a very talented singer, songwriter, musician and performer who has a gift of bringing joy to all who enjoy his music. It was a great day engaging with his wonderful music, celebrating our faith and praying with song and actions, and a whole lot of smiles and laughter.

Thought for the week Thought for the week

As we come to the end of this school term, we hear Jesus’ invitation:
“Come to me… and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).

The holidays offer us an opportunity to pause, to rest, and to notice God’s presence in the simple moments of each day. It is a time to reconnect—with our families, with creation, and with the peace that comes from being still.

We give thanks for the many blessings of this term, and for the ways our CARE values have been lived out in our community. Through compassion, we have cared for one another; through appreciation, we have recognised the gifts around us; through respect, we have built positive relationships; and through excellence, we have strived to do our best in all we do.

As we enter the holiday break, may we continue to live these values in our words and actions. May this time renew our hearts, deepen our faith, and prepare us to return ready to learn and grow.

May God bless you.

2027 Uniform Changes - Advance notification for 2027

Formal Uniform:

To maintain our uniform standards, we are re-introducing the woollen jumper as a compulsory item for the formal uniform from next year. The black jacket may no longer be worn in its place but may be worn over if necessary. We will be introducing a new fabric for the formal jumper next year, which some students may find more comfortable to wear.

Sport Uniform:

When wearing the sport uniform, if the student is cold, they should be wearing the new sport jacket and not the black rain jacket instead - this can be worn over the sport jacket or the old rugby style windcheater, but not in its place.

Uniform Shop Sale - Wednesday 22nd July

We will be having a uniform shop sale at the commencement of Term 3. Come along and grab a bargain. EFTPOS or Cash for purchases. Some new uniform items heavily discounted. Second hand items going cheap!

Crosswalk Attendant Crosswalk Attendant

The paid position of crosswalk attendant has still not been filled. We have many students who walk or ride to school, and need to cross Cape Naturaliste Road each day. Their safety is a great concern for us. Until an attendant is appointed, we will endeavour to provide school staff to attend the crossing. Please note that students who ride their bikes to school will need to wait for supervision before walking their bikes when on school grounds to get to the crossing.

We are working closely with the Dunsborough Police to promote the position and would appreciate your assistance in spreading the word if you know of anyone who would be available.

For more information you can contact the Children's Crossing Unit on (08) 6274 8731 or email on childrenscrossingsunitsmail@police.wa.gov.au.

P & F Disco

Thank you to those families who attended and supported this year's Disco on Friday 19 June. It was so pleasing to see so many children attend this fun event in their sparkly and colourful outfits and a great opportunity for the children to experience a good ol’ fashion disco vibe and for them to dance to the great music selected by students for each session.

We really appreciated the use of the 2 new JBL Party Box Speakers which the P&F funded earlier in the year.

This was a big event on the 2026 P&F Planner, and we would like to extend so much appreciation to those students and families who put their hands up to help and to those families who donated items for use on the night.

Thank you to set up superstars Bri and Bri, we enjoyed the many laughs and fun vibes as we got the hall disco ready.

Thank you to our Pizza Chefs from the Bennier and Treptow families for cooking and for donating your Gozney pizza ovens for use on the night.

Thank you to the special Grandmothers of students who assisted in the canteen to prepare the food, your time is so appreciated and to Year 6 Students and Families for your involvement in running the stalls. Thank you to Sara in the canteen and to Pre-Primary, Year 3 and Year 6 Class Reps and Families for your organisation of each session. Thank you to the Families who donated the many items including polaroid cameras and film, black plastic, disco lights and glowsticks.

This event was a great success, and it is so pleasing to announce that $4,000 was raised and is intended to be allocated to the nature playground additions. Further details will be provided on this allocation in the next newsletter.

Thank you again for your support, it truly is greatly appreciated.

Term 3 Events

Funded by the 2026 P & F

We are excited to advise we have funded new Pre-Kindy/Kindy and Pre-Primary Trikes. These trikes are much loved items for use by our junior students as they provide an opportunity to taxi around their buddies on double seaters. With the existing trikes being 10 years old they have lasted the test of many children who have ridden them and the time has come to replace some and some require replacement parts. It will be great to see the new trikes in action and the older trikes repaired and bought back out of the shed for use.

The P&F have also allocated funding to Art & Science learning classes. These additional funds have assisted these classes to purchase additional equipment for the children to use.

Wishing all Families a restful mid year school holiday break and thank you again for your ongoing support.
