A Note from the School Psychologist - Ms. DiCostanzo
What a wonderful year it has been!
This year, I had the pleasure of visiting many of our PreK and Kindergarten classrooms for special read-alouds and classroom activities focused on social-emotional learning. Together, we read stories, talked about feelings, practiced problem-solving, and explored ways to be kind friends and confident learners. Watching students participate, share ideas, and grow throughout the year has been such a highlight.
I was also fortunate to work alongside an incredible school psychology intern this year, Julia Tracy (now Julia Tracy Keller). Julia brought enthusiasm, compassion, and dedication to supporting our students and school community. Throughout the year, she connected with students, collaborated with staff, and contributed meaningfully to classroom and social-emotional learning experiences. While we will miss having her at our school, we are excited for her as she begins the next chapter of her career in her new school district. We wish Julia all the best and know she will make a positive impact wherever she goes.
As we look ahead to next year, I am excited to continue building connections with students through even more classroom visits. My hope is to expand opportunities to talk about topics that support success both inside and outside of schoolâincluding executive functioning skills, understanding emotions, coping with anger and anxiety, and building tools for self-regulation and resilience.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support throughout the school year. Wishing all of our families a joyful, relaxing, and adventure-filled summerâwe look forward to seeing you next year!

Ready to Roar: A Sneak Peek for the Class of 2039
We are super excited to welcome the Class of 2039 to the Torringford family! Transitioning to kindergarten is such a big milestone, and we cannot wait to watch our newest little Tigers learn, grow, and roar.
To help everyone feel comfortable and excited for the upcoming school year, we are hosting a Special Kindergarten-Only Event on Thursday, August 13th from 5:00 PM â 7:00 PM.
This will be a wonderful opportunity for our incoming kindergartners to explore the school, meet new friends, and get a sneak peek at the kindergarten experience.

A huge round of applause to Sandra Lavallee (Paraeducator of the Year) and Laura Henry (Teacher of the Year)! We are so proud to have you representing Torringford. Thank you for your unwavering dedication, excellence, and tiger pride!
