BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT
“Back-To-School Night” isThursday, August 27, 2026. You will attend 10-minute classes following your child’s class schedule. Teachers will explain class requirements, activities, academic standards, procedures, student expectations, and more. This event serves as a valuable opportunity for you to be directly involved in your student’s learning.
The Athletic Department will be meeting in the Library at 7:30 p.m. with parents whose students are interested in participating on an EAMS sports team.
STUDENT DROP OFF & PICK UP
As a reminder, all student drop-off and pick-up must take place in the designated student drop-off/pick-up area.
Please do not drop off or pick up students in the parking lot.
Using the designated area helps keep students, families, and staff safe and allows traffic to flow smoothly. Students walking through the parking lot or between moving vehicles creates a serious safety concern.
We appreciate your cooperation and ask that everyone please follow the designated drop-off and pick-up procedures each day.
Thank you for helping us keep our East Avenue students safe!
FUNDRAISING
BOOSTERS NO FUSS FUNDRAISER
Two important things we really need this year are;
A new Audio/Visual system in the gym and more outdoor tables for students at lunch.
Our goal this year is $20,000.
Think about it like this... If every family gave just 50 cents a day, for each day of the school year, we would completely pass our goal.

Protect Your Student's Chromebook for as low as $22 with School Device Coverage!
I cannot stress enough the importance of getting this insurance. Your kids walk around with chromebooks everyday and don't always treat them well. From accidentally dropping them, throwing their backpacks around with their chromebooks inside, and just random things that happen, this insurance covers it.
Our District has partnered with School Device Coverage to offer parents optional, affordable insurance coverage for 1st through 12th-grade students’ LVJUSD-issued Chromebooks. (TK and Kindergarten students use a class set of Chromebooks when needed and are not issued individual devices. This coverage does not apply to students in TK or Kindergarten.)
Replacement costs without insurance can be as costly as $399 per device. School Device Coverage offers two policies, Basic and Expanded.
Coverage can be purchased through October 31, 2026, to insure your student’s Chromebook through July 31, 2027. (Coverage of device begins after the purchase of a policy has been processed and MUST be purchased before any damage occurs.) Policies can be purchased online at https://schooldevicecoverage.com/signup
Contact School Device Coverage directly at 1(888) 978-3515 with any questions

WHEELS BUS SERVICE
The Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA) hopes you had a restful summer break. We know that you, like the Wheels family, are working hard towards a great start for the new year. Wheels requests your assistance advising students and parents of the following important updates with a communication to your school’s email subscribers. For many districts or schools, this may be a CRM like PeachJar or Parent Square.
- As we transition to fall, there have been substantial bus schedule changes for Livermore fixed route services, with many schedules being advanced 5-10 minutes. To see route service by school, visit https://www.wheelsbus.com/students/middle-high-school-students. For schedule updates on individual route pages, the calendar must be advanced beyond the first day of school to see future schedules.
- LVJUSD students have universal acceptance in the Student Transit Pass Program (STPP). Any student can ride Wheels services for free, year-round, with no income edibility verification upon application. Even the Clipper card is free.
- A reminder, Wheels continues its Summer Youth Ride Free promotion through August 31; no pass or verification is required. This allows student to trial bus services free of charge for the first few weeks of school.
- Wheels reminds parents and students that fares are required to be paid when boarding Wheels buses. Non-payment of fare is fare evasion. Fare payments make public transit possible, supporting the safe and reliable services Tri-Valley residents rely on. Payment is recommended via Clipper card, with a current discounted Youth fare of $2.25. A new feature of Clipper lets parents manage accounts for children and other family members. Learn more.
