Message from Mr. Schmidt, Principal Message from Mr. Schmidt, Principal

Bears Keep on Rolling during First Quarter!

Our Bryan Middle School Bears keep on rolling through the 1st quarter of the 2025-26 school year. Our Bears continue to be respectful, responsible, safe, and their best every day. They worked hard on both Reading and Math MAP and are now focusing on being their best in every class to finish 1st quarter with outstanding academic achievement. 1st quarter progress reports will be posted by Monday, September 15th. Please check your parent portal account or your student's campus portal account to view their grades.

High-dosage tutoring will start in October. We will contact families of students that qualify to extend an invitation for the student to join tutoring. This is highly recommended and aimed at providing additional supports for students. In addition, drop-in tutoring will start on Wednesday, September 17th. It will be held every Wednesday and Thursday we have school and aimed at helping students with homework. This is open to all students. Students need to be signed up by a teacher and space is limited to 30 students. Please have your student talk to one of their teachers if they would like assistance with homework and would like to attend.

Remember, there is something for everyone at BMS. Please encourage your student(s) to be active in an activity, athletic team, or club at Bryan Middle. In addition, regular attendance and being in class every minute is crucial to success. Encourage healthy school and home habits that aid your student(s) being at school and doing their best every day! We appreciate your partnership in the development of your student(s).

Sincerely,

Anton Schmidt

Principal, Bryan Middle School

Drop-Off (Morning)/Pick-Up (After school) Request Drop-Off (Morning)/Pick-Up (After school) Request

Families, a reminder that the building does not open until 7:10 AM. We do not have staff supervising outside until 7:00 AM. Please try to drop off as close to 7:10 AM as possible. Also, dismissal is at 3:05 PM. Students should be picked up by 3:15 PM at the latest. If that is not possible, please have your student get a Boys and Girls Club application so they can go there until they can be picked up. All students need to be supervised and, in an activity, club, or at the Boys and Girls Club after school. Thank you for your help.

School Cash Online School Cash Online

Our district will now use School Cash Online for all school items and activity fees. School Cash Online reduces cash and check payments to our schools and lets families:

  • Keep track of their students’ school items and activity fees
  • Check their account history
  • View and print receipts
  • Pay for school fees with a simple click

Primary guardians will receive an invitation email from SchoolCash Online in the coming days with a link to register for an account and attach student(s) to their profile. Families can also register an account using the link above and the same email address used for Campus Parent.

Once the primary guardian has created an account, they can provide access to other caregivers of their choice.

See the Parent Help Desk for SchoolCash Online FAQ for additional details and troubleshooting information, or reach out to your student’s school with any questions.

We are excited about the opportunity to work together and support each of you on this journey!

School Attendance School Attendance

As we begin a new school year, we want to remind families of the importance of regular attendance, from day one. Students who attend consistently are more likely to succeed academically and socially. The first weeks are imperative because they lay the foundation for school and classroom rules. When our students are aware of their expectations they are more likely to be successful. We do understand that absences at times cannot be avoidable due to illnesses and emergencies. If your child must miss school, please inform the office and stay in communication with staff so we can support your students return.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child's attendance. Please do not hesitate to reach out to a member of our school attendance team. When we work as a team it sets our children up for success in the future.
