SPYSO Baseball and Softball Registration is Open Now Until March 3rd!!
Hello Buckaroo families!
The SPYSO board met Wednesday, February 7th, and in order to ensure our kiddos get to play ball this spring, we need to make some registration changes. Registration will now need to CLOSE for ALL AGE LEVELS on FEBRUARY 20th. This allows players to register with other leagues, if we cannot field a team within St. Paul.
***This is especially important if you have a JBO (5/6 grade) baseball, or a 12U (5/6 grade) softball player***
As a reminder, our goal at SPYSO is to create a fun and inviting league for all to participate in. Having said that, we do our best to keep our fees as low as possible. Registration fees paid go toward league fees (Newberg Baseball and CCGSA), umpires, uniforms, equipment, field maintenance and more.
As a board, we’ve decided to cap registration fees between baseball and softball to $400 per family. Here are the following fees:
T-Ball (Grades PreK-K): $100
8U/Rookie (Grades 1/2): $125
10U/Minors (Grades 3/4): $200
12U/JBO (Grades 5/6): $250
We’ve written in a discount code and ask you use the honor system to select the coupon code that would make your family total $400 (before processing fees). Please only use the discount code on one of your participants.
For example, I will be registering an 8U, a Minor and a JBO player, making my family total $575. On ONE of my participants, I will use the Family Code Discount of Discount175 bringing my total to $400.
We apologize in advance for any confusion this may cause. If you have any questions at all, please reach out to a SPYSO board member or comment on this post.
Please follow this link to register. REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE ON FEBRUARY 20th!!

St. Paul, Oregon Community Seeking Information
On Missing Local Businessman
The tiny rural community of St. Paul, Oregon has been rocked by the unexplained disappearance of a well-liked local businessman who vanished on February 8, 2024. Gurjinder “Gary” Singh Grewal, owner of the St. Paul Market, left the business shortly after 10am that morning. He was last seen about 11am walking on State Highway 219 near the bridge crossing the Willamette River. His car was found later that day parked several hundred feet south of the bridge.
Searches of the river and surrounding area have been unsuccessful, and the Oregon State Police are investigating the incident.
Family and friends are asking anyone with information to come forward. Dash cam footage, if any, from anyone traveling in the vicinity on the morning of February 8th would be helpful.
A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to locating Gary. More information can be found on social media at the Facebook page “Searching For Gary” Facebook ID 233814393150000.
