A Message from Superintendent Mr. Rose
Dear Wilson Families,
We have had an incredible month across our district, filled with meaningful learning, engaging classroom experiences, and memorable events that brought our Wilson community together. It has been wonderful to see our students growing, our families engaged, and our schools full of energy and pride.
As we move into this month, we are entering an important time for our students with the start of state testing. We want to ensure our Wildcats feel confident, prepared, and supported as they show all they have learned throughout the year. One of the most important ways to support your child during this time is through consistent attendance. Being present and on time each day helps students stay focused, maintain routines, and perform at their best.
If you have any questions or need support, please do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s school. Our team is here to partner with you every step of the way and ensure every student has what they need to succeed.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Let’s have a great testing month, Wildcats.
With appreciation,
Mr. Rose
Superintendent

New Technology for Our Wildcats
Thanks to the continued support of our community, Wilson Elementary School District is proud to distribute 1,000 new laptops to our students as part of our recent bond. This investment allows us to replace outdated devices with updated ones, ensuring our students have access to reliable and modern technology.
These new devices will enhance daily instruction, support digital learning, and better prepare our students for success both in and out of the classroom. We are incredibly grateful to our community for making this possible—your support directly impacts the opportunities we are able to provide for our students.
Math Lab in Action: Preparing for State Testing
Our Math Lab at the Primary campus is in full effect as students prepare for upcoming state assessments. Through targeted instruction, hands-on activities, and focused support, students are building confidence and strengthening their math skills each day.
This dedicated space allows students to practice key concepts, ask questions, and receive the support they need to succeed. It’s inspiring to see their growth and determination as they get ready to showcase everything they have learned.
Cooking Up A Love For Reading
During Read Across America week, we enjoyed visiting classrooms and seeing students dive into the playful world of green eggs and ham. The classrooms were filled with curiosity and laughter as young readers explored the story through hands-on activities, creative crafts and shared reading time. We saw teachers bring the story to life in engaging ways, encouraging students to taste, imagine and ask questions along the way. It created a warm and welcoming environment where reading felt exciting and meaningful.
What stood out most to us was how naturally students connected with the story and with one another. Some tried new foods with excitement, others read aloud with confidence and many simply enjoyed learning together. Moments like these remind us that when learning feels joyful, students grow in confidence, creativity and a lasting love for reading.
Fun With Figures
Wilson Primary School recently welcomed families for a joyful and engaging PBS Math Workshop on the evening of March 26. Our cafeteria was transformed into a vibrant learning space filled with excitement, curiosity, and hands-on math fun designed especially for our youngest learners.
Students and their families explored six interactive math stations, each offering playful opportunities to dive into numbers, shapes, and patterns. Through games, building activities, and creative challenges, children practiced problem-solving and critical thinking in a way that felt natural and enjoyable.
Adding to the excitement, a special PBS children’s character made an appearance, bringing smiles, photos, and an extra dose of fun to an already memorable evening.
The event truly captured the spirit of Wilson Primary—creating a welcoming environment where learning is joyful, families are partners, and every child is encouraged to explore, think, and grow. It was a wonderful night filled with curiosity, connection, and shared learning.
BizTown Builders
Our 4th graders at Wilson Primary had an exciting adventure at BizTown! During the field trip, students stepped into a real-world simulation where they explored careers, managed money and practiced important life skills in a fun, hands-on environment. From running businesses to making community decisions, every student experienced what it is like to be part of a working city.
We loved watching our students put their learning into action as they took on different roles and responsibilities throughout BizTown. They practiced teamwork, problem-solving and decision-making, all while building confidence and having a great time. Opportunities like this highlighted how learning can extend beyond the classroom, allowing students to develop real-world skills, explore their creativity and grow in ways that will shape their future.
Journey To The Jurassic
We watched curiosity come to life in preschool as students stepped into their very own classroom science lab, inspired by the Arizona Science Center. Every corner of the room invited exploration, from fossil investigations to hands-on dinosaur activities that encouraged students to ask questions and think like scientists. The excitement was easy to feel as students moved from station to station, discovering new details about dinosaurs and the world they once roamed.
What stayed with us most was the sense of wonder our students carried throughout the experience. They eagerly shared observations, worked together and embraced learning through play and discovery. With thoughtful guidance from their teachers, the classroom became a space where imagination and learning blended seamlessly. Experiences like this remind us how powerful early learning can be when students are encouraged to explore, create and grow in ways that feel both natural and exciting.
Glow Party Lights Up Learning at the Primary
Our Primary campus was glowing with excitement during our recent Glow Party. Students enjoyed a fun-filled morning that brought energy, joy, and a sense of community to our campus. From music to vibrant lights, the event created a memorable experience that students will not forget.
Events like these are an important part of building a positive school culture. When students feel connected and excited to be at school, it strengthens their overall learning experience. It was a great way to celebrate our students and create lasting memories together.
