Dear Hoover Community,

I am beyond thrilled to share some incredible news with all of you: Hoover Middle School has earned a 5-star rating on the Maryland Report Card!

This milestone belongs to every single member of our community. Earning 5-Stars rating is a testament to the relentless hard work, passion, and heart that our students, teachers, parents, and staff pour into Hoover every day. I want to start by thanking our PTA for your partnership and your support. We could not have accomplished this without you.

Sometimes, there is an assumption that schools like ours are effortless to lead or that success comes with little effort. But the truth is that excellence takes a village. Behind this five-star rating are countless patient explanations, challenging decisions, quiet moments of encouragement, and a shared refusal to become complacent. Our Instructional Leadership Team, teachers and support personnel were relentless and intentional about asking how to do better, how to reach more students, and how to help every single child succeed. Thank you for your dedication and hard work.

To our students, thank you for showing up with curiosity, resilience, and a willingness to grow. You make us proud every day. To our teachers and staff, thank you for your daily dedication, your care, and the deep belief you instill in our students. You are the heartbeat of this school. To our parents and families, thank you for your unwavering partnership, your support at home, and for trusting us with your children.

Please take a moment to celebrate this achievement and feel proud of the extraordinary community we have built together here at Hoover. We have much to be proud of, and the best is yet to come! Go Chargers!!!

With deep gratitude and pride,

Dr. Kim
