Back to School Family Newsletter
August 2026
Dear Bea Underwood Families,
Welcome Back, Bea Underwood Elementary Families!
Welcome back to another exciting school year at Bea Underwood Elementary! We hope your summer was filled with rest, laughter, and meaningful time with family and friends. As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, we are thrilled to welcome both returning and new families to our Cardinal community.
At Bea Underwood Elementary, we believe every child has unlimited potential. Our mission is to create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where students feel valued, challenged, and inspired to grow every day. We know that students achieve their very best when schools and families work together, and we are committed to building strong partnerships rooted in trust, communication, and collaboration.
This year, our focus is on creating consistent, high-quality learning experiences for every student. At BUE, we are committed to High Expectations, Purposeful Teaching, Engaged Learning, and Unlimited Potential. These commitments guide every decision we make and every interaction we have with students.
You can expect to see classrooms where:
- Students know what they are learning and why it matters.
- Teachers provide purposeful, engaging instruction that meets students where they are and helps them grow.
- Positive relationships and a strong sense of belonging are intentionally built every day.
- Students are encouraged to persevere, think critically, collaborate, and take pride in their learning.
Our staff has spent the summer preparing for an incredible year of learning, growth, and connection. We are excited to partner with you to ensure every child feels supported, challenged, and celebrated throughout the year.
We encourage you to stay connected by attending school events, communicating regularly with your child's teacher, and celebrating the many successes your child experiences along the way. Your partnership plays a vital role in helping every student succeed.
Thank you for entrusting us with your children each day. It is a privilege to be part of their educational journey, and we look forward to a year filled with learning, growth, and Cardinal pride.
Together, we will unlock the potential within every student, every teacher, every day—making every moment count.
With gratitude and excitement,
Amber Scott- Principal
