2025 Law Day Contest Winners 2025 Law Day Contest Winners

Congratulations to the Street Law students listed below who were selected by a team of attorneys and judges as winners of the 2025 Law Day contest. They submitted either an essay or artwork in response to the following prompt:

"The U.S. Constitution establishes relationships between the federal government and the states, between the branches of government themselves, and between the government and the people it governs. All of us have individual and shared rights and responsibilities within this system that are designed to bring us together as a united nation. We all have a role to play in striving for the common good, serving our communities, and using advocacy and civic engagement to address the issues that are important to us. Simply put, we are all in this together. How can we bridge differences and find common ground on the issues we face? What are some of the ways you could engage with your government and members of your community to bring people together?"

They and their families were invited to an Award Ceremony on May 22nd at the MN Court of Appeals in Saint Paul, presided over by the Chief Judge of the MN Court of Appeals.
