Google Meet Rooms
Setting up office hours or small groups? Direct Instruction through Google Meet? We have a preferred method that will give you better control of when the Meet is open and when you close it! Take a look at the following instruction sheet or watch the video to find out how. This will eliminate students "hanging out" when you aren't in the Meet room, show you how to remove a student, and use the same nickname for your Meets so you don't have to create a new code every time you want your students to meet.
Working on a Chromebook?
- Screen Reader: Ctrl + Alt + Z
- Take a screenshot of your entire screen: Press Ctrl + Switch Window.
- Take a screenshot of part of your screen: Press Ctrl + Shift + Switch Window.
- Open the keyboard shortcuts helper: Press Ctrl + Alt + /.
- Caps Lock: Alt + Search
- Dock the Active Window to the left or right side: Alt + [ (to dock left) or Alt + ] (to dock right)

Google Tip of the Week
Check your Sharing settings if you are sharing a file from your Google Drive. Open a file in Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides. In the top right corner, click Share. Click "Get Link" at the bottom of the "Share with People and Groups" box. Make sure it's set to "Aldine Independent School District: Anyone in this group with this link can view."
