From the Desk of Dr. Taylor

Dear Meridian Parents and Families,

What a great start we’ve had to the school year! It’s been wonderful to see our students back in the building, reconnecting with friends, building new routines, and diving into learning. We know the transition back to school can take some adjusting—for both kids and families—so thank you for all the support you’re giving at home and with us.

In just over a month, we’ve already had some special moments together:

  • Back-to-School Night gave us the chance to connect and share what’s ahead this year for our scholars.

  • Grandparents’ Day brought so much joy as we welcomed loved ones into our school community to dance, smile and spend time with us.

  • National Literacy Month has us celebrating reading in fun and creative ways with the re-opening of our ESC library.

  • Hispanic Heritage Month kicked off with a colorful Spirit Week, including activities that honor culture and traditions of our families.

  • CREW time continues to help students build friendships, teamwork, and a sense of belonging.

As always, keeping our school safe and supportive is at the heart of everything we do. We’ll also have more updates and fall happenings to share soon—there’s lots to look forward to!

Thank you for being such an important part of our community. Here’s to a continuing to evolve with a strong start to the year!

With gratitude and excitement,

Dr. Rikki Taylor

Executive Director
