Beardie Beat
October 2025
Hello everyone,
Another summer has flown by, and fall is officially in the air! A big thank-you to everyone who joined us for last month’s Herding Instinct event. It was a beautiful day, and the dogs had a fantastic time—whether their highlight was meeting sheep or mingling with friends! Special thanks to Diane Spinelli for all her work in organizing such a fun and memorable day.
We’re excited to see you next week at our October winery event, where we’ll enjoy some great company and present the proposed slate of board members for next year. Many thanks to Jan Vallone for putting this gathering together. Details on time and location can be found below in the newsletter.
As mentioned in the meeting minutes further down, we’re currently seeking a host and location for our Annual Meeting in November. Hosting is flexible—you’re welcome to open your home or help coordinate a public space for us to meet. The event typically includes a potluck (with the main course provided by the club), followed by a short meeting and a vote on the new board slate.
If you’re interested in helping out, please reach out to Laura or Casey. While we’re in a strong place with membership—especially compared to other regional Beardie clubs—we continue to rely on your participation to keep things running smoothly.
Warmly,
Laura Colombo
NCBCC President
Join us for Wine, Bounce and a Meeting at 8 Chains!
Returning to our favorite spot in the patio of the dog park, NCBCC will be hosting a gathering for humans and canines alike. We have 3 tables reserved and the beardies can hang out with the humans or bark amongst themselves for a few hours. Please bring a snack or treat to share. Wine can be purchased from the vineyard
