Academic Intervention @ Wright
Students in their classes read the book *The Keeping Quilt* by Patricia Polacco, which teaches them how important memories can be preserved and passed down through generations.
Together, they created their own keeping quilt! The students applied what they learned in art by sketching designs on cotton squares using fabric markers. Ms. Gardin then took the squares home and sewed them into a quilt. Mrs. Grindell designed a written prompt to go with the project and the kids wrote about how they felt making their piece of the quilt. The students love it and are proud of their square.
Coats, Coats, and More Coats
DEADLINE TO CLAIM IS FRIDAY
We have a rack and a table filled with coats waiting to be claimed. Please encourage your child to come in and check for their coat so they can find their way back home. We also have glasses and cups.
Any unclaimed coats will be donated after March 28th.
To help ensure your child's coat is returned, please make sure their name is clearly written on it. As the weather gets warmer, students often take their coats off and may forget what they look like. ๐
