β›³ Crusader Cup Update β›³ β›³ Crusader Cup Update β›³

Despite the looming clouds, we had a tee-rific day at the sold out 14th Annual Crusader Cup Golf Tournament on Friday! We are so appreciative of our sponsors, the players, and our amazing volunteers led by our par-tee coordinator, Katie Bailey! Many thanks to all who made it happen #ForeFAW! We would like to give a special shout out to our Crusader Sponsors – Dr. Schneider Orthodontics, Guardian Termite & Pest Control Inc., and Southland Industries. Special thanks to Chaptico Market and Crabknockers Seafood Market for our delicious meals! It was an un-fore-gettable day and everyone had the best time!

On behalf of all of us here at Community Brands, we are excited to share our upcoming Family Night (via a webinar) - a special annual event for the families attending schools who utilize TADS and SSS as their financial aid solution. We'll cover the basics of understanding financial aid, how and when to apply, and how an award is calculated. We'll also do a live Q&A session to answer more detailed questions.

New Technology!

Our Pre-K - 5th Grade classrooms have newly installed interactive panels thanks to a grant from the M.I.L. Foundation. We are extremely grateful for their generosity and continued support of Catholic education. We look forward to the many ways students will learn by using these hands on boards! A very special thank you goes to volunteers Mr. Gatton and Mr. Connelly who spent many hours mounting these for us. Many thanks!

Complete the 2023-2024 Volunteer Opportunity Form!
Take a few minutes to let us know what you are interested in volunteering your time for this school year!

Your support in and out of school is so very important and valued. Thank you for all that you do for our whole FAW community. Part of what makes our school so wonderful is your involvement in our activities. Sometimes we have community building events that are meant to gather us together as a school family and get to know each other while having fun. Other times we host fundraisers to help our school raise the money needed to support the school's operating budget and curriculum. We value you and your God given talents! We invite you to be an active parent by getting involved in various activities throughout the year. Please visit the volunteer opportunity form to let us know how you'd like to be involved this year. We are looking for 100% participation in completing this form. Please take 5 minutes (or less!) to complete the form. After doing so, you may be contacted by the event chairs who will offer ways you can help with that specific event. Thank you so much for your willingness to support our school with your time and talents!

Link in store - Simply give the cashier our code, 5002 and your VIC card when you check out and your card will be linked for the entire school year. 2. Link online – visit www.harristeeter.com, sign-in to your profile and add our school to your account. 3. Click HERE to fill out a Google Form. Our school coordinator will link your card for you!

There are many reasons why students might visit the school nurse, but there are a couple of things that top the list - namely, falls (resulting in scrapes, bumps, and bruises) and feeling ill (usually stomach ache or headache). Accordingly, the basic staples of any school nurse’s office are band aids, ice packs, a thermometer, and good old water. (And definitely, the best medicine to never be without, is a heart full of prayer!) I wanted to say a quick β€œThank you” to a thoughtful parent who recently donated a few items to our health room (and thanks to everyone for any previous gifts, as well!). Of course, also appreciated are words of wisdom, suggestions, and any tried and true remedies or tips that you may be aware of. For example, our most used β€œice pack” consists of a frozen (wet) sponge in a ziploc bag, which can be changed out and used again and again. Got any other ideas? Send them my way!
