Dear Windsong Ranch Elementary Families,

As October nears to a close, we have started to look ahead to November. Weโ€™re excited to welcome our grandparents and special friends to WREโ€™s annual Grandparents & Special Friends Day on November 20th and 21st. Join us for a traditional Thanksgiving meal and celebrate together as a school community. Please fill out this form for each student you have attending WRE, even if your family will not be participating in the special day. This information helps us plan for the 2-day event. We canโ€™t wait to celebrate this tradition with our WRE families!

As a reminder, Halloween costumes are not permitted at school. While we love celebrating the season, we ask that students do not wear costumes, masks, or face paint to school. Instead, students are welcome to show off their costumes at our Trunk or Treat event on October 30! We canโ€™t wait to see everyone there for some festive fun. Thank you for helping us keep the school day focused and distraction free.

Enjoy the weekend and we'll see you back at the Ranch on Monday morning.

Together we Prosper,

Michelle Qualls

Profile of a Learner Parent Survey

What does it mean to be a successful Prosper ISD learner of tomorrow?

We are gathering input from all stakeholders to develop a Profile of a Learner. This framework will capture the essential skills and attributes our students need to thrive in life, not just in the classroom. It's our vision for the complete learner, developed in alignment with our Strategic Priorities. We would love your input, please complete this form.

Important Walker Dismissal Information

We continue to work closely with Prosper ISD PD and the City of Prosper to keep our students and families safe during dismissal. Please be mindful of where you stop or park. Unsafe or illegal parking can create congestion and may result in traffic citations. A few important reminders from the Texas Transportation Code:

  • It is illegal to stop, stand, or park on a crosswalk.

  • You cannot park in front of driveways, within 20 feet of a crosswalk at an intersection, or within 30 feet of a signal, flashing signal, stop, or yield sign.

  • Bicycles may be parked on the sidewalk as long as they do not block pedestrian or other traffic.

Thank you for helping us keep dismissal safe and smooth for everyone!

BEST PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN TEXAS

Named by HEBโ€™s Excellence in Education Awards as the Best Large District in the State of Texas, Prosper ISD has an established 67-year history that is grounded in the humble roots of a farming community, now soaring to the fastest growing school district in Texas, due in no small part to the pursuit of excellence in the arts, academics and athletics. Our students and staff are routinely recognized on the local, state, and national levels for outstanding achievements, and our teachers are highly qualified experts who bring out the best in every student.

ABOUT PROSPER ISD

Prosper ISD is a school district located north of Dallas in Collin and Denton Counties. The district spans approximately 58 square miles and serves more than 32,000 students in 20 elementary schools, 6 middle schools, 4 high schools, and one early childhood school.

๐Ÿซถ THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY FOR SUPPORTING OUR TEACHERS & STUDENTS

In November 2023, an overwhelming majority of voters approved $2.7 billion to continue building excellence in Prosper ISD. Thank you for your continued financial commitment to our district.

And while our facilities are second to none, we know that it is the people who make the difference in Prosper ISD. From our bus drivers to our teachers to our teacher assistants, our staff is here to support students as they pursue their dreams of excellence in academics, fine arts, and athletics.
