Head Cheetah's Message
Families,
We are eager to welcome everyone back for the 2026-27 school year and want to remind you about the exciting events taking place over the next few days:
- Wednesday, August 26th: Kindergarten Meet & Greet - 8:15-8:45ish
- Meet your teacher, see your classroom, and take a practice bus ride
- Wednesday, August 26th: Preschool Meet & Greet - 9:00-9:30
- Meet your teacher, see your classroom, and learn what to expect on the first day of school
- Wednesday, August 26th: All Grades Sneak Peek - 3:00-4:00
- Take a peek into your classroom and say hello to familiar faces
- Thursday, August 27th: FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
Additionally, for the safety of our students and staff, please remember to follow our arrival and dismissal procedures. If your student will be traveling by bus or van, please be sure they are waiting at the designated bus stop at the time indicated by M&J. If you will be transporting your student to school in the morning, you may use the following options when dropping your learner off:
- Drop and Go Lane - There are two Drop and Go lanes in the front parking lot. If you are using these drop off lanes, your learner should be ready to hop out of the car when your vehicle reaches the crosswalk. A staff member will escort your child out of your vehicle and to the crosswalk, where they will safely walk to the front entrance. When using the Drop and Go lane, adults do not get out of their vehicles. The driver pulls up, waits for the student to exit the vehicle, then pulls away so that the next car may pull up.
- Park and Walk - If you would prefer to spend more time with your learner before departing, you may use the front or back lot to park your vehicle, and then walk your student to the front entrance of the building.
If you plan to pick your student up in the afternoon, you may park in either lot, and then walk to the pick-up line that forms on the side of the building next to the back parking lot. You will need to provide ID to the staff members who are facilitating the pick-up process.
As a reminder, our first week of school will be short! We will have full school days on Thursday, August 27th and Friday, August 28th. We'll return to school on Monday, August 31st.
We hope to see you at one of our “welcome back” events! Otherwise, we'll see you on Thursday. It's going to be a great year!
Best,
Joey & Jessica

Thank you to the families who participated in our Teacher Summer Read Aloud Series! It was great to see so many of our young learners engaged in summer reading activities!
Thank You To our Amazing Community Partners
We’d like to extend a huge THANK YOU to the EHEPTO for recognizing that our front entry sign was in need of some beautification! This amazing team of volunteers sprung into action and found several community members who were willing to donate their time, energy, and goods to make the Memorial School campus shine! Many thanks go to Paul’s & Sandy’s Too for donating new plants, Bailey Boys Lawn Care for their expert landscaping, and Master Stream Solutions LLC for power washing our front sign. We are so lucky to have these generous businesses in our school community!
