Reading Reading

Module 8

It’s time to grow! 😊 2nd graders are kicking off Module 8, with an inquiry project. We will use a variety of research sources, to create a brochure, after researching natural disasters.

Furthermore, we will be reviewing text features, determining importance while evaluating the most important details of a story, and identifying cause & effect. We will revisit internal and external character traits, and retell the events in a story, We will also revisit story structure, plot elements, beginning, middle and end. Metacognition will take us through making connections to our personal experiences, other texts, and to the world.
