SCOIR- Please log into SCOIR and mark enrolling for the school you plan to attend in the fall. Please also update each school that you applied to and the outcome. This is an urgent need as WHS counselors use this information to send your final transcript to your school. If seniors do not complete this step their final transcript will not be sent. Counselors use this information to create signs of your school to celebrate on academic signing day. If seniors do not complete this step, counselors can’t ensure there will be a sign for signing day.

Scholarships- Counselors are working to collect all data for any merit aid, athletic, and outside scholarships to celebrate next week and graduation. We ask seniors to complete the scholarship google document here https://forms.gle/WKJc76K9azcx3cEi9. Seniors are asked to report ALL dollars regardless if you are attending the school that awarded you. Simply put, if a senor earned it- we report it! If seniors can no longer access their portals but may know what they was awarded please reach out to Mrs. Washington at jackie.washington@ucps.k12.nc.us. Please report any merit aid, scholarships and athletic awards.

Amplify WHS! Amplify WHS!

The Weddington High School PTSO is raising $5,000 towards upgrading our auditorium sound system. This space hosts dozens of events each year—from Signing Day and athletic banquets to theater productions and the Talent Show. Our auditorium is the heart of our school and our current sound system is struggling to keep up with our impressive WHS talent. An upgraded sound system will improve the experience for students, families, teachers, and guests at every event held in the auditorium. We invite you to help support this important project. Thank you for investing in our students and helping their voices be heard!

Overdue notices will be emailed out today (April 17th) to students and parents and then again next Friday (April 24th). If materials are not returned or lost materials are not paid for by April 30th, these charges will go on your child's Infinite Campus account. Please email Anna Waldrup at anna.waldrup@ucps.k12.nc.us with any questions.

Club Dance Team Info Club Dance Team Info

Is Dance Team a Good Fit for Your Student?
As interest continues to come in for the upcoming season, many families have been asking the
same question:
Would this be a good fit for my student?

The Weddington Dance Team is designed for students who:
● Enjoy performing or being in front of a crowd
● Want to be more involved in school activities
● Are looking for a team environment with structure and accountability
● Have energy, personality, and a willingness to learn

Some students join with years of dance experience. Others are completely new and simply
looking for a place to get involved. That is the beauty of a dance team. Students come from
different backgrounds, but train and perform together as one team.

What they have in common is a willingness to show up, work hard, and be part of something
bigger than themselves.

Dance Team offers a different kind of involvement at the high school level. Students are not only
participating in school events, they are helping shape the atmosphere and energy of those
events.

They are visible. They represent the school. They contribute to the overall experience of
game day and beyond.

For many students, this becomes a place where they grow in confidence, find their people,
and take on a new level of responsibility.

If that is something you would want for your student, we encourage you to submit the
interest form to learn more before the next season begins.
→ Fill out the Interest Form to receive the Info Packet and next steps.
