T.H.E. Trail Guide

Heads up that you’ll soon see portables arriving on the Tehaleh Heights campus out front in the gravel parking lot. THE is serving as a staging site for seven portables, four of which will remain at our school for temporary use in the future. Three of them will go to Bonney Lake High School.

Once we receive permits from the county, we’ll have a more definite timeline of portable movement, site preparation and use. Again, these portables are temporary, necessary to provide immediate space for our growing student population.

We’ll keep you posted on the timeline and details for when it comes closer to using the portables as classrooms. Permanent school additions will be planned for the future based on funding source and continuous enrollment.

SBA testing for 3rd-5th grades will be May 8th-19th-It is highly recommended that you DO NOT plan appointments or vacation for your student at this time!

The first season of Tehaleh Heights Elementary Grade Level music concerts continues with our youngest singers! Kindergarten and First grade will be performing "The Best Pet Show Ever" here in the THE Launchpad on May 31st.

• Kinders should plan on arriving at 4:45 for a 5:00pm performance.
• First graders should arrive at 5:45 for a 6:00pm performance.

All students should bring a SMALL stuffed animal as their "pet" for the show and arrive "dressed in their best."

**Please note our gravel parking lot will not be available for parking, please walk if you can.

As we move into some warmer weather the last weeks of school, we wanted to remind you of the student dress policy:

• Clothing must cover stomach & chests
• Shorts, skirts and dresses may appear no shorter than the end (tips) of the fingertips
• Footwear must be worn at all times and appropriate for the activity
• Undergarments must be covered
• Holes, tears, mesh or see-through material in garments may not be in areas that clothing is expected to cover

Please remember to send your students to school each day with a refillable water bottle!

Registration Deadline: May 24th – Forms must be emailed to recreation@cobl.us with Credit Card information or delivered to Parks and Recreation. See the flyer below for more information.

Wed., May 17th, 6:30pm – PTA General Membership Meeting - Mountainview Middle School Principal Amy Montgomery will be the guest speaker at our PTA General Membership Meeting to talk about the transition from 5th to 6th grade and answering parent questions! All are invited, fifth grade or otherwise!

We’ve got an exciting update about our PTA-sponsored playground expansion project and we’ll be discussing and voting on some financial topics for yet this year and next. Come join us in this important process! This is our last meeting of the school year.

Sat., May 20th is the all-student production of Shrek The Musical JR. and the PTA is proud to support the T.H.E. Theater Program with funding, volunteers and behind-the-scenes help! All are invited May 20th – shows are at 2pm and 7pm at the Bonney Lake HS Performing Arts Center.

Become a Theater Program Sponsor and be included in the May 20th printed program and featured on the Sponsors Wall at the BLHS PAC the day of the show! 105 Trailblazers from all grade levels are getting the opportunity to be involved in something truly special, thanks to our directorial team of Mrs. Frederick (3rd grade teacher), Mrs. Nelson (3rd grade teacher), Mrs. Ottele (5th grade teacher), Mrs. Thornhill (5th grade teacher), Mrs. Stanley (2nd grade teacher), Mrs. Hjorten (para-educator), Mrs. Hizzey (PTA President), and Savannah and Dakota Frederick (choreographers)!

We need volunteer support for school and PTA events May 20th (Sat. afternoon/evening), June 9th (Fri. day/evening) and June 13th (Tues. daytime)! Please check your calendar and join us if you can!
