MTYA/NWEA State Assessments for Grade 3 - Tuesday, October 14 and Thursday, October 16 starting at 9:15 am

Early Release Day - Wednesday, October 15 - dismissal at noon

Burlington Store has provided a generous donation to Vine Street School's classroom teachers. Through their Adopt a Classroom program Vine Street was choosen to receive a $5,000 grant for classroom teaching supplies! Thank you Burlington store for your generosity and support of our school!

Grade 3 students will be taking the NWEA/Maine Through Year State Assessment three times this year. (October 14 & 16, January 28 & 29, & May 12 & 14) They will be assessed in both reading and math. These are computer based assessments and students are given as much time as needed to complete the test. These are very important assessments. Please note these days in your calendar and try to schedule appointments on other days. Students will begin the assessments at 9:15 am on those days. Please have your child at school on time, well rested, and with a good breakfast in their belly so they are ready to give thier best! As always, thank you for your support!!

I see many people are enjoying our Little Free Library at Vine Street! Everyone is welcome to come and grab a new book for home or to trade some of your books at home for new ones! Little Free Libraries are a great way to Get a Book & Give a Book!

Please continue to make your child(ren)'s attendance a priority! Strong attendance is essential for student success-- every day counts! Our school wide goal is to maintain at least 95% average daily attendance each month. To reach this, student should miss no more than two days of school per month. We appreciate your support!

First Grade - 94.04%

Second Grade - 93.47%

Third Grade - 95.03%

School Wide - 93.87%
