Congratulations Mrs. Afrooz!
Mrs. Zinat Afrooz is a Special Education Aide at Chapman Elementary and has worked in our District for five years. Mrs. Afrooz earned her Associate Degree from Cuyahoga Community College.
“I really enjoy helping students feel supported and building their confidence, especially those who face unique challenges. I feel incredibly good when I see the progress of the student, both academically and emotionally. I appreciate the collaboration and support from our staff at Chapman. Working closely with teachers and being able to build meaningful relationships with students makes every day fulfilling.”
Thank you Mrs. Afrooz for all that you do for our students at Chapman Elementary! #ModelMustang
Chapman's Feature of 60 Seconds with the Superintendent
This month, our buddy classes paired up to enjoy a read-aloud focused on goal setting and worked together to discuss how being prepared helps us set and achieve our personal goals. 🎯
It was wonderful to see students collaborating, sharing ideas, and building meaningful connections across grade levels. Activities like this help deepen students’ understanding and application of our school-wide expectations while strengthening our school community 🐎.
We love seeing our students learn and grow together ✨!
Great Lakes Science Center Assemblies - Thank You PTA!
What an amazing day of learning and fun thanks to our PTA and the Great Lakes Science Center 🤩! Our K–2 students were wowed by an incredible bubble show, while grades 3–5 were amazed by fire 🔥 and ice 🧊! Both assemblies were engaging, exciting, and full of science magic. Thank you to our PTA for bringing such an awesome experience to our students! 💙📚✨!
Principal for A Day - Addison Fox!
Raffled off at the Strongsville Education Foundation’s annual fundraiser, one lucky student gets to step into the role of Principal for a Day — and this year, first grader Addison Fox did an amazing job serving as Principal Fox alongside Mrs. Harrell!
Addison’s busy day included:
📚 Morning rounds visiting classrooms and students
🍎 Heading to the lunchroom to recognize students showing PRIDE expectations
🎤 Making a school-wide announcement
📻 And of course… wearing her very own walkie talkie!
We are so proud of Addison for leading with confidence, kindness, and a big smile. What a fun and memorable day 🐎!

Homeroom teachers will communicate directly with families about passing out valentines and if bags or boxes need to be sent in.
