IN #HAYNation!
Yelle Newsletter for January 30th!
Hello from the Yelle.
BOOSTERTHON 2026 GLOW FUN RUN IS IN THE BOOKS!*
(*Fundraising efforts are still open for another week though)
As I have said every year I have been here at the Yelle, the #HAYNation Community is absolutely one of a kind! I CANNOT THANK YOU Enough! You are fabulous, and I will say more about that below! Thank you!
As I try to do each week, I use the big picture above to tell the story of the week in pictures for us here at the Yelle.
This week the Big Picture (as well as the background with this year's awesome T-shirt design) is all about Boosterthon Glow Fun Run! It is truly an incredible, special experience for our students! And it is not just the day of the Glow Run; it is the whole week (even minus a couple of Snow Days) leading up to the incredible Glow Run celebration today! We always hope but we also always hear how it is one of our students' top memories of their Yelle years. We cannot thank everyone enough who help to make this such a wonderful experience for our students, starting with you, our parents and families! You are the BEST! Our HAY PTO for all their work! Supernova Sarah and everyone else from Booster! And our Yelle faculty and staff! Thank you all so much! More below.
These and the other pictures below in and around the classrooms really do relay a story of the incredible accomplishments our students and teachers achieved this week. Please check them out below and all over our Instagram feed to help to tell the tremendous story we are writing this year.

Dress For The Weather
Hello Yelle Families.
Typically, I am sending this message out earlier in the year, but we have been enjoying some more favorable weather so far these past few months.
This is just a friendly reminder that as the weather turns from Fall to Winter, and specifically from 50s, 60s and even 70s the last few weeks to a real feel of 40s this past week, we do love getting the students outside for PE/Wellness and Recess.
The students might think the classrooms can be warm, but we love to get the students outside for recess and Wellness, so they should at least know that they should dress appropriately for those times; at least packing sweatshirts, hats/gloves, jackets, and the like.
We will go outside for recess when the "real feel" is 25 degrees or above outside, and you can see me bundled in my hat, coat, and gloves, for to me, I need them. The students may not feel like they need it for the school day, but for recess if the real feel is at least 25, we have recess outdoors.
It is always nice to get that fresh air, and as I said, we love getting them outside whenever we can.
Any questions, please let us know.
Thanks!
News from the HAY PTO in Multiple Parts ...
Hello Yelle Families:
The HAY Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) hopes all families are enjoying the school year. We are always trying to make this another senational experience for our students!
The PTO sponsors monthly meetings, which are usually held the third Thursday of each month from 6-7PM in the HAY Library. The meetings could be changed if there is a calendar conflict with a school vacation or holiday and are usually moved to the Wednesday before or after. You can view on the HAY Calendar on the NPS website.
We look forward to seeing returning parents along with new faces from our fourth grade families!
Come join the meetings to hear what’s happening in your child’s school, how you can help out by volunteering, or ways for you to share an idea!

💜 2026 Boosterthon Success! 💜
Hello #HAYNation!
Boosterthon 2026 Glow Fun Run Was Such a SUCCESS!
I believe the pictures (above and below) and all the videos (on our Instagram feed) really do
speak to the unbelievable Successful of this experience is for our kids!
They have the BEST time running in the Glow Gym!
They also had a wonderful time with Supernova Sarah during
these two weeks in their classrooms, greeting them in the morning,
playing with them at recess, and then getting back
into their classes for special events like being pied in the face or silly-stringed!
The fundraising efforts of all of you, I cannot say enough about!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
Again, I am blown away, yet again, by your kindness, generosity, and support!
Our goal this year was to raise $20,000 to go to assemblies, Vending Machine books, Yearbooks, field trips, and more. And, as of this posting, we are at over $24,000!
THAT IS SO AWESOME!
And WE ACHIEVED IT!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
(24K more times!)
So, Mr. Geoghegan & Mr. Bielawa will have something special for everyone before the end of the school year. We have kissed pigs, exotic animals, jousted as knights, been slimed, and were dunked into a Dunk Tank in the past, so we know we have to do something great. And great it will be!
WE DID IT!
