No Food or Uber/Lyft Services allowed on MTS Campus
Parents and Guardians,
Our school does not allow food deliveries from third party services such as Doordash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, etc.
If a parent/guardian wants to drop off food, they may drop it off at one of the offices and the student may eat it during their designated lunch times.
MTS also does not allow students or staff car services such as Uber or Lyft, this is for the safety of the students.
Elementary - Krista Yi - Principal
April 10th and 11th are parent conferences. We would love to see all families during this time!
Kindergarten Round Up is on April 23rd! We look forward to meeting families at this event.
Our 3rd - 5th grade students have been working really hard to prepare for the Smarter Balance Assesment (SBA) testing that begins at the end of April. It is important that students are getting a good night's sleep leading up to SBA testing. Teachers and students are discussing the importance of getting the proper amount of sleep, eating a good breakfast and trying your best during testing time. Please take time to reiterate these practices with your students at home. Testing will take place from April 28th - May 9th. It is vital that all students show up to school during these weeks to perform their best on the SBA testing.
Secondary - Rick Brownell - Principal
Mark your calendars! We will have parent-teacher conferences scheduled on the 10th from 1 PM to 7 PM and on the 11th from 1 PM to 3 PM. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to discuss your child's progress and collaborate on their educational journey.
Please note that spring break will take place from the 14th to the 18th. We hope this provides your family with a chance to relax and enjoy some quality time together!
Smarter Balance Assesment (SBA) Testing
SBA testing will begin on the 29th and continue until May 9th. We encourage students to prepare and do their best during this important assessment time.
Please remember to mark your calendars for the important dates mentioned above. Communication from teachers and staff is vital to ensure a smooth flow for our upcoming events.
Thank you for your continued support! If you have any questions, concerns, or just want to chat, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Nurse
Centers for Disease Control, CDC recommends that all adolescents and adults receive a dose of Tdap at the age 11-12 years old, during pregnancy (preferably in the 3rd trimester, and every 10 years after the initial dose.
In Washington state, a Tdap booster vaccine is required for students in 7th through 12th grades. Getting tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (whooping cough) vaccines protects you against three bacterial diseases which can be very dangerous. Getting vaccinated protects yourself and the community around you, including those who can’t get vaccinated.

No Place for Hate
Students worked hard at our first Equity Fair. No Place for Hate members created displays to talk about topics they felt were important to making the school and society more fair and accepting for all. Some students had presentations that advocated for equal pay in sports, jobs and etc. Other presentations highlighted a history of Indigenous Americans Dress Codes that requiried Indigenous people to cut their hair before attending school. We had 14 displays total and 22 student leaders presented. Overall, it was fun and educational for both staff and students.
