Welcome Back! Welcome Back!

Dear MJT families,

I realize that you undoubtedly experienced a great deal of worry and perhaps even panic when receiving notifications from the district, as well as from other community members. Although we were not placed in a lockdown or lockout situation here at MJT, please know that we are adequately prepared should those instances ever arise and are committed to the safety of our students and staff.

In all other ways, this was a wonderful start to the 2024-2025 school year! All classrooms and programs are up and running smoothly, and we truly appreciate all of your support as we work through any opening days kinks. Here are just a few reminders to help with our efficiency and safety:

  • UPK drop off is at the front entrance, beginning at 8:35. UPK pick up is at the front entrance at 2:30.
  • Arrival for parent drop offs (K-2) are at the Lee Road loop. The doors open at 8:45. ***Please remain in your vehicle. Staff will help the student out of the vehicle so that we can keep the traffic flowing without hold ups.
  • Dismissal for parent pick ups (K-2) is at the Lee Road loop. The doors will open at 3:15. ***Please remain in your vehicle. Staff will assist the student with getting in the vehicle, however we ask that you pull up along the tree line towards the exit if you need to get out to buckle them in. Staff are not legally aloud to buckle them in.
  • If there is a change from your child's REGULAR dismissal plan, please notify the main office by 11:00 a.m. This is extremely important so that we make sure there is ample time to notify teachers and transportation to eliminate confusion or delays at the end of the day.
  • Open House will be from 6-7 p.m. on Thursday 9/19. We hope everyone can join us!

Again, thank you for allowing us to make your child's first years in school so special, and I look forward to our continued partnership! Enjoy the weekend.

Sincerely,

Breanne Taylor
