Weekly Update

Dear Oak Brook Families,

We had a great week welcoming back our students!

Our Oak Brook Spirit Store is open! The link is below and orders through 8/31 will include free delivery to Oak Brook. Orders after that date will ship to your home with a shipping fee.

Please send a snack with your child(ren) every day. We have been limited on fresh fruit to provide any students without a snack and are not sure if it will continue. If you are in need, please email Mrs. Terbrock and we can help.

Reminder about dropping off students late or picking up early:

Notify the teacher ahead of time (if possible).
Please come to the vestibule and fill out the form on the Chromebook (when dropping off late and picking up early).
Staff may need to verify you, so please have your photo ID with you.
Once completed, please wait in the vestibule. An office staff member will open the door to let your child in or out.

We have been notified by the contractors that a couple students are riding E-Bikes through the bio-retention pond on the neighborhood side of the field in the back. New sod was just laid and as part of the MSD requirements, we need to establish sod in that area for final MSD inspection. That sod is very slippery until established. Please do not let your child(ren) ride and bikes, e-bikes and scooters inside this Parkway property. Thank you!

Cardinals Game Ticket Information

If you would like to join our OB community at the Cardinals Game September 15, 2026, please buy your tickets here. Our amazing Oak Brook Singers will be singing before the game and the cost per ticket is $25. ALL OAK BROOK SINGERS WILL NEED A TICKET along with every family member. Please fill out this form and send cash or check (made out to Oak Brook PTO) to the Oak Brook office by September 8.

Oak Brook Open House and Spirit Night — Thursday, September 10

Join us for an evening of Oak Brook fun and school spirit! Open House will be from 5–6 PM, Spirit Night from 6–7 PM, and our PTO Meeting from 7–8 PM with childcare provided.

Enjoy a DJ, ice cream truck, eagle tattoos, Oak Brook swag, and Cub Scout/Girl Scout hot dog sales. Come meet our mascot, Obee, and learn more about joining an OB Club!

More details will be coming soon about how to pre-order dinner.

PTO WELCOME PACKET

Below you will find the PTO Welcome Packet that was handed out at Meet The Teacher night. Kindergarteners will get one sent home this week!

Playgrounds

Our playgrounds will be complete with inspections around the end of September. We know that this is not ideal but it is out of our control. The track, field, blacktop, b-ball court, and part of the back playground are available until then though! Also, our wonderful PTO has purchased and solicited donations for recess items besides the normal balls and jump ropes which will be available every day also!

CAR DROP-OFF REMINDERS AND A CHANGE

The first car of the line should pull all the way up to the basketball court where you'll see a staff member waiting for you.
Please stay in your car and our staff will get your child(ren) out for you. This makes our line move efficiently and quickly.
Starting the first day of school, cars have until 7:35 to drop off in the back.
If you arrive after that, you will be directed to the front of the school to drop off and sign your child in on the Chromebook in the vestibule. An adult will be able to help with this until 7:50.
The back doors will be locked as soon as staff returns inside, so please do not drop off a child while staff is walking to the building. THIS IS FOR THE SAFETY OF EVERYONE!
