Attendance is Important
Please make sure that you call in (833-662-6228 press 5 then press 1) prior to 8:30 if your child is going to be absent so that we can record the reason before we begin making contact. If communication is not received in regard to student absences a few things may happen.
- You will receive an automated message letting you know your student is absent.
- You may receive a personal call from our office staff.
- You may receive a visit from our SRO, or Kylee Waite, our MCR2 Social Worker.
- You will receive our 3-day, 5-day and 8-day attendance letters regardless of calling in. These letters are board policy and are sent to all student families when they hit the 3, 5, & 8 day threshold.
- As a building we are striving to be higher than a 95% average EACH MONTH. Help us meet our goal!
MCR2 Extracurricular Activity Expectations
Since fall sports and activities are in full swing, we are sharing the expectations for spectators. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
MCR2 athletics and extracurricular activities are an important part of our school culture, and our
students benefit from their peers, family and community members' support at these activities. In
order to maintain an enjoyable environment for all, the district requires that guests follow some
basic expectations to help make the activities a safe and fun experience for all spectators.
● Drugs, alcohol and tobacco (smoking, vaping, etc.) are strictly prohibited on our campus.
● Pets are also prohibited on our campus, any animal on campus should follow BOE policy
about service animals.
● All spectators are required to remain within the general area of the activity they are
attending (outdoor events-concessions area or in the stands, indoor events-concessions
area or in the gym). Patrons are also not permitted to be throwing balls, or other objects,
during the activity.
● We require elementary and middle school students to attend with a parent, guardian or
responsible adult (18 or older).
● Please park in designated parking spots only so that all other areas of the buildings are
accessible as needed. For outdoor events, special permission is required to park inside
the gates (between football stadium and baseball diamond).
Happy National IT Professionals Day!
Happy National IT Professionals Day! We are grateful for the tech support that keeps our school connected and running smoothly every day. Thank you for all you do!
JBE Student Council Change the World Day
Our JBE Student Council is hosting their first Change the World Day on Wednesday, September 16th. They will host one each month for a different cause with a different spirit day. Every change the world day is a hat day. Students are encouraged to bring in "change" donation or dollars to give to the cause.
This month donations are going to NRG (local backpack program to help with food insecurities) and the spirit day is Tie Dye Day (wear anything school appropriate with tie dye) or Hat Day.

Clothes & Shoes Recycling Bin at JBE
We have partnered with USAgain to collect clothes and shoes. This company will pay us 2 cents for every pound collected and will plant a tree (somewhere, not on our property) for every full bin. The bins are located on the southwest corner of our building. We will start spreading the word to the community soon and hope it will help the earth and raise a bit of money for our donation account.
