Irving Families,
Thank you to everyone who came out to last week’s events. Both our African American Parent Advisory Committee meeting and the PTO meeting were well attended—we truly appreciate your involvement.
Lotería Night was a huge success! Tons of families joined the fun. Thank you to Ms. Yáñez for MC’ing and to our wonderful PTO for organizing and running the evening. The PTO will contribute the raffle proceeds to support our 4th graders’ field trip to Medieval Times—thank you!
Spirit wear online sale ends tonight (Sunday, Sept. 28). Please purchase by clicking the flyer below.
Attendance Matters
This week, Ms. Z and I met with our truancy liaison to review absences. Students are already accumulating a concerning number of absences. Coming to school every day is essential. Even if you oversleep, please bring your student—we’d much rather have them late than not at all.
