Online Parent Council Meeting Spring 2025
Online ParentCouncil Meeting Spring 2025

Parent PAC Online Meeting is available for parent approval until April 10th

Lakeview Middle School value parents and other members of the community as stakeholders in the education of students. Due to changes with the pupil services hours, resource room changes within Title I, and allowing the parent council members to vote for an in-house meeting or an online meeting, (online 80% of the vote) the Spring Parent Council Meeting is online. Please review and complete the parent sign-in sheet/input survey.

LAKEVIEW MIDDLE SCHOOL PARENT AND FAMILY ENGAGEMENT POLICY

What is Title I ?

In support of strengthening student academic achievement, Lakeview Middle School receives Title I, Part A funds and therefore must jointly develop with, agree with, and distribute to parents and family members of participating children a written parent and family engagement policy that contains information required by section 1116(b) and (c) of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). The policy establishes the school's expectations for parent and family engagement and describes how the school will implement a number of specific parent and family engagement activities

Please review the Drafted Policy in the link below.

Title I Family Compact Title I Family Compact

What is the School-Family Compact?

As part of this plan, LMS jointly develops, through meaningful consultation with parents, a school-family compact that outlines how families and our school will share the responsibility for improved student academic achievement and the means by which the school and parents will build and develop a partnership to help children achieve the state’s high standards. The school-wide compact stresses the importance of communication between families and teachers. LMS families are given the opportunity to provide compact input through meaningful consultation with school staff throughout the school year. Parents have the opportunity to review and adjust the compact at Parent Advisory Council meetings. Family-School Compacts should be used at home and at school in parent-teacher conferences.

The Title I Compact is now implemented into the Parent Engagement Policy and is no longer a standalone document.
