LIS Tiger Talk
October 30, 2026
Principal's Message
Tiger Families,
To wrap up a wonderful week, our students got to dress up and enjoy some Halloween fun, and as always, the creative costumes did not disappoint! Be sure to check out the photos featured below to celebrate our classroom and grade level winners.
We were also honored to host award winning author and Oxford University lecturer Struan Murray this week. He shared his inspirational writing process with our students and offered valuable advice on dealing with adversity.
As we head into November, we have several exciting events on the horizon. First, we are preparing for our 3rd annual Veterans Day recognition. If you have a family member or loved one who would like to attend and be honored for their service to our nation, please register them using the link below and send us a photo. Additionally, our fifth graders are gearing up for their annual overnight trip to Camp Kern. We are also collecting food donations throughout the month to help restock the LIFE Food Pantry for the upcoming holiday season.
We know there is a lot of information in this week's newsletter, so please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions. Thank you for your support, and have a wonderful weekend!
Happy Halloween!!
Go Tigers!

Grandparents & Great Influences 2026
A great Loveland tradition continues in December - “Grandparents and Great Influences!” Students across the district will spend time with grandparents and other great influences in their lives. “Grandparents and Great Influences” is an opportunity for families to celebrate the extended circle of people who build into their children, as we open our doors to build community.
Mark Your Calendars- we will share more information in the upcoming weeks.
Loveland Intermediate Grandparents and Great Influences Day is Friday, December 11th, 2026.
5th Grade: 8:30am-9:30am
6th Grade: 10:30am-11:30am
We realize it may not be possible for “Grandparents and Great Influences” to be available for each student during our celebration. We’ll work to ensure every student feels included and involved in these special events.

Loveland Tiger Talks........ Pen Pal Club with Highschoolers!
We are excited to announce the sign ups are open for a mentoring club at Loveland High School called Tiger Talks. This club was created by a graduated student with the mission to create meaningful connections between LES/LIS students and LHS mentors. If you choose to sign your child up for Tiger Talks, they will be paired with a high school student who will become their pen pal. This club is done in the student’s free time, so parent reminders to write to the High Schooler may be needed.
If you are interested in signing your child up for the program, please click here and fill out this form by October 30. This form will ask you to provide your student’s name, and there are a few questions that will ask you about your student’s interests. This will assist in matching your student with an LHS student. Participation in this program is completely optional and LIS students will be paired with mentors on a first come, first serve basis. Tiger Talks is being advised/supervised by Loveland school psychologists.
If you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to Noah Gilbert (LIS School Psychologist), Rachel Freeman-Hicks (LHS School Psychologist/Club Advisor), or Niki Parvanova and Natalie Moran (Club Presidents). Their contact information is below. Thank you!
