Lake Forest High School Wins Big with
Scoreboard Donations from Anonymous
Community Member and LFHS Boosters Club
[LAKE FOREST, IL] At the August 19 meeting of the LFHS Boosters Club, its first of the 2024-2025 school year, it was announced that Lake Forest High School will receive a new state-of-the-art Varsity Field scoreboard, funded in full by an anonymous community donor. The new scoreboard will feature a 10mm video display, the best resolution currently available on the market, and include an integrated sound system and digital message board. Installation is anticipated to be completed by late October.
At the same meeting, to capitalize on economies of scale, the Lake Forest High School Boosters Club voted to underwrite the cost of new scoreboards for the LFHS Varsity Softball and LFHS Varsity Baseball playing fields. Installation will take place this fall, immediately following the completion of the Varsity Field project.
“This is the power of community partnerships,” said Superintendent Dr. Matthew L. Montgomery. “These kinds of donations allow us to focus our operational funds on enhancing the playability of the fields and expanding our safety measures. Partnerships such as these provide resources for projects that are well beyond what we could do on our own. We are incredibly grateful for the selfless generosity of our anonymous private donor and the tireless support of our LFHS Boosters Club under the leadership of Rachel and Chris Baker.”
