CLASS SPOTLIGHT: Mrs. Teske's Kindergarten
Dear Families,
We have an exciting few weeks ahead in Mrs. T's Kindergarten class!
Math: We will continue to explore various ways to make numbers up to 10. Students will engage with manipulatives and different tools to discover techniques for making 10.
Language Arts: Our focus remains on "no excuse" words, and we will practice reading with CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words to enhance our comprehension skills.
Writing: In writing, we are diligently learning to write complete sentences using a writing checklist to guide us.
Science: Our science lessons will cover living things, non-living things, and plants, including what they need to grow.
Upcoming Events:
Please note that we have MAP testing scheduled for December 10th and 12th.
We are working hard and developing many new skills! I encourage you to ask your kinder kiddo to read to you at home! Its been an amazing year so far and I can’t wait to continue to watch the kiddos learn and grow.

NOTES FROM THE NURSE
It is the time of year when the weather has changed. The Adams County Health District is seeing an increase in Pertussis cases, especially in the Othello area. The health district would like to remind parents to be aware as we often shop in Moses Lake and/or Spokane. These areas are also seeing an increase in Pertussis. This is a good reminder to keep your children updated on their immunizations with their physician and/or you can go to a health district. If you have any questions, please call the Adams County Public Health Phone: 1-509-488-2031. We would like everyone to have healthy winter activities and/or holiday time with others.
