🏫 What’s Happening at School
A note from the Principal...
Dear Abraham Lincoln Families,
Just a reminder that with September comes cooler mornings, so please be sure your child is dressed in layers to stay comfortable as the day warms up.
Drop-off and pick-up have been going so smoothly—thank you for helping keep the line moving by staying in your car during these times. Your cooperation truly makes a big difference! As a friendly reminder, if you need to get out of your car, please park on the opposite side of Forest Ave.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
~ Mrs. Ireland

💡 Helpful Tips & Resources for Families
September is School Attendance Awareness Month
Did you know that September has been proclaimed School Attendance Awareness Month? You can view the proclamation here: Governor’s Proclamation.
Showing up matters for R.E.A.L., because it is an opportunity to:
-
Build Routines – Daily attendance routines can reduce stress, increase your child’s self-confidence, and lay a foundation for good attendance in later grades.
-
Increase Engagement – Participation in school helps your child connect with other children and adults and get excited about learning.
-
Provide Access to Resources – Schools can provide access to meals, physical and mental health care, enrichment activities (sports, clubs, music, afterschool and summer programs), and more.
-
Support Learning – Children learn best through hands-on activities and meaningful interactions with their teacher and peers.
At Abraham Lincoln School, we care deeply about each and every student. We know that showing up to school each day matters—for their growth, their relationships, and their success.
💖 At the Heart of Abe
At Abraham Lincoln School, what matters most is the connections we build—with our students, families, and one another. Each smile at morning drop-off, every kind word shared between classmates, and the daily moments of curiosity and learning remind us that school is more than academics—it’s a community.
This month, we celebrate the ways our students are already showing kindness, working hard, and supporting each other. Thank you, families, for being such an important part of what makes Abraham Lincoln a caring and joyful place to learn and grow.
