Put me in Coach!

This year our theme for both teachers and students is the idea to always show up, practice and collaborate with others for team success!

Using baseball as a motivating theme for students can be a powerful way to instill a growth mindset. Baseball, with its emphasis on persistence, teamwork, and learning from failure, mirrors the challenges students face in their academic journey. Just as a player learns from each swing, hit, or miss, students can be encouraged to embrace mistakes as opportunities for growth. The book The Thing Lenny Loves About Baseball beautifully captures this spirit, highlighting the joy and determination that comes with passion. Lenny's story can inspire students to approach their own challenges with the same enthusiasm and resilience.

https://www.climateactionproject.org/about

The Climate Action Project is a free, student-centered, 6 week project which you can run with your students whenever you prefer. You are in command and so it’s up to you to decide how much time you dedicate to the project. Even 1h per week makes you part of the project. We are flexible: you can skip or combine weeks. By submitting your work, others can learn from your findings and potentially replicate your actions and solutions. By joining, you become part of our global network across 149 countries of like-minded teachers who are working on the same topic. We will send weekly guidelines. We provide several resources, which are all freely available in 15 languages:
