Brentwood Bulletin
September 27, 2026
Dear Brentwood Middle School Families,
Well...last week was definitely a full moon! If you work in a school or a hospital, you can always tell!
Hopefully you are enjoying the lovely weather and maybe even some football. There isn't a whole lot to report this week as we move into the second half of the first quarter. You should be seeing progress reports posted in ParentVUE and in your emails. If you still don't have access to ParentVUE to check your student's grades please give Pia a call in our office - she has Synergy magic!
Just a reminder that students may not bring energy drinks to school - even the ones that look like they are all natural. Students should also not bring drinks to school that are in glass bottles, because when those bottles break it becomes a safety issue. Plastic bottles of water or reusable water bottles are great for the classroom, and gatorade or other plastic bottled or canned beverages are ok for lunch as long as there is no more than 40 mg of caffeine (the average amount of caffeine in a can of soda). We just want to be sure they are fueling their bodies with healthy energy.
Please let us know if you have any questions or if there is any more information that we can help gather for the school community.
Thanks!
Let's have a great week!
Warmly,
Rosemarie El Youssef
Brentwood MS Principal & Proud Mama Bear
UPDATE: Village Table
What is the Village Table?
The Village Table is PPS' district-wide Site Council and ongoing Advisory body for family and community voice. Every school is represented by two family members or caregivers who bring the voices, experiences and insights of their communities into district-wide conversations and decisions.
Right now, Rightsizing is the focus of their work. Please take a moment to complete this PARENT/COMMUNITY SURVEY so that your voice can be heard by our reps and the Family and Community Engagement team at PPS (FACE).

Brentwood Middle School Family Interest Survey
Brentwood families help make the middle experience great for our students. There are so many ways you can choose to be involved—from chaperoning a field trip to volunteering at a school event to helping with teacher appreciation.
We encourage every family to complete the Family Interest Survey to share how you would like to engage in our school community:
100 Years of Giving - Brentwood PTA Annual Fall Fundraiser Kickoff
x
Link to donate: Brentwood Middle School 100 Years of Giving Fundraiser
We are celebrating 100 years of community, education, and growth at Brentwood Middle School. Donations go directly toward classroom grants, teacher appreciation events, student activities, staff & school support, and family events.
If you prefer to donate by check, please make checks out to Lane MS PTA (we’re still in transition to our new name.) Checks can be mailed directly to the school or dropped off at the front office.
Support the Brentwood Middle School student store
x
Help stock our student store!
At Brentwood Middle School, our reward system celebrates students who take initiative and live out our core values of being accountable, safe, and kind.
When students demonstrate responsibility for their learning and actions, make choices that contribute to a safe and respectful environment, or go out of their way to show kindness to others, they earn “keys” as recognition for their positive impact.
These keys serve as both encouragement and a tangible reminder that their actions matter. Students can save and spend their keys at our student store, choosing from a variety of fun and motivating items.
Brentwood Middle School Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer opportunity at the PTA Clothing Closet - Monday, Oct. 12th is Brentwood day to send 4-5 volunteers from 9:30a - 1:30pm, to help sort & organize donations, and help families receive clothing. Volunteers can be parents, grandparents or community members.
Please reach out to our PTA Volunteer Coordinator, Alissa Roberts at volunteer@brentwood-pta.org to learn more.
Unable to make it 10/12? Save the date for our second volunteer date - Thursday, Feb 11th.
♻️ BOTTLEDROP — An easy way to give back!
x
Fill a blue bag with our school’s QR sticker with your bottles and cans and return them to a BottleDrop redemption site (available at most grocery stores and BottleDrop locations). Funds are donated directly to Brentwood PTA which go right back to our school!
Need a blue bag? Blue bags are available in the school office, at PTA events, and by emailing board@brentwood-pta.org.
Unable to make it to a drop off location? No problem! Filled bags can also be dropped off at the main office, and a volunteer will return them to a Bottle Drop site.
