AP Exams

Please be aware that all students taking AP Exams are bound by the College Board's AP Exam Terms and Conditions. These terms outline the rules and regulations for taking the exams, including policies on conduct, prohibited items, and exam security. We strongly encourage both students and families to review these terms.

After next week's break each student registered for AP Exams will receive a personalized exam schedule via email from TotalRegistration. This individual schedule will detail the specific date, time, and location for each of your registered AP Exams.

Students will be marked as ‘Absent–Field Trip’ during their exam period only. Students are still expected to attend their classes outside of their assigned exam times and are responsible for missing work. Should a student choose to not attend school beyond their exam time, a parent or caregiver must report the student’s absence to the Main Office (absence is still not excused).

If you have any general questions regarding the AP Exams, please do not hesitate to contact the AP Coordinator directly at samantha_thyne@bedfordps.org.

Corporate Sponsors Sought for All Night Graduation Party!

Do you own or market a business? Please consider becoming a corporate sponsor of the Class of 2025 All Night Grad Party! Your company/organization will be recognized on a sign in the BHS Lobby for the month of May, and will be thanked in the BHS newsletter, in The Bedford Citizen, and on social media.

Not affiliated with a local business? No problem! As All Night Graduation approaches, we seek the community's help in our fundraising efforts. After April vacation, we will email the BHS Parent Community with ways that you can help, either by donating cash, food, or prizes and/or by volunteering your time.

If you work for a business in Bedford or in the greater Bedford community, please share the attached letter with your employer!

Donation Request: Caps & Gowns

As graduation quickly approaches, we are preparing to celebrate the incredible accomplishments of our senior class. One of the most symbolic moments of this milestone is seeing our students proudly walk across the stage in their caps and gowns.

The Class of 2025 is busy raising money to cover the cost of caps and gowns for the entire senior class as well as the cost of their Senior Prom. The BHSPA would like to help the senior class reach their goals and make their graduation memorable.

We are seeking monetary donations to help the Class of 2025 cover the cost of caps and gowns for their graduation.

If you would like to donate, please do so by:

  • Venmo: @BedfordHighSchool-ParentsAssoc
  • Credit card: https://www.bedfordpco.org/packet/55961335
  • Check: Make check payable to BHSPA and drop off at BHS front office or mail to Bedford High School, 9 Mudge Way, Bedford, MA 01730

If you have any questions, please email the BHSPA at BHSBucsparents@gmail.com.

Thank you for being such a vital part of our school community and for supporting our students during this exciting time.

SEPAC College Night

Monday, May 5 | 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm | Cafeteria

We are excited to announce the upcoming SEPAC College Night on May 5th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, designed specifically for families of students with IEPs and 504 plans. This event will provide a valuable opportunity for families to engage directly with colleges and learn about the services they offer to support students with learning differences.

We are pleased to confirm the participation of several colleges for this informative evening, where representatives will address important questions regarding how colleges assist students with learning differences during the transition from high school to higher education. Families will have the chance to ask colleges about available support services and resources. The following schools have confirmed their attendance:

  • Bridgewater State University
  • Curry College
  • Dean College
  • Johnson and Wales University
  • Mass Bay Community College
  • Merrimack College
  • Middlesex Community College
  • New England Institute of Technology
  • University of Massachusetts, Lowell
  • University of Southern New Hampshire
  • Westfield State University
  • Worcester State University

In addition to the confirmed colleges, we are hopeful that several other schools will join us for this important event, ensuring a diverse range of options and insights for attendees.

To help us prepare, we invite all attendees to submit any questions or concerns they have about the college transition process. These will be compiled into a document for the participating colleges, enabling them to better address the needs of our families. A second document will also be created, providing families with a guide of questions to ask about accessing support services.

We look forward to seeing you there! For additional information or to submit your questions in advance, please send them to louise_damato@bedfordps.org.

Know Your Rights Information Session

Tuesday, May 13th at 6:00 PM | Location: https://stream.lexikeet.com/lk

This event is designed to help families understand their rights and be prepared in the event of an immigration-related emergency. This session is part of Lexikeet’s ongoing effort to support schools and families to communicate by accessing timely, accurate information about immigration law and helping communities stay informed and prepared. Lexikeet will provide free live interpretation in Spanish, Portuguese, and Haitian Creole. The event will take place on our Lexikeet platform, ensuring confidentiality. Lexikeet does not collect any identifying information so families can feel comfortable asking questions in a safe and supportive environment. Attorney Reis will share updates on current immigration policies, explain what families should and should not do, and answer frequently asked legal questions.

Seasonal Allergies

As most of you know, spring allergy season is upon us and I wanted to remind you to be proactive about your children's allergies. Please have them take their prescribed allergy medication before school, so they will be comfortable for the duration of the school day. Depending on the severity of the pollen allergy, those with seasonal allergies can feel pretty miserable and allergy symptoms can have a significant impact on learning. Please reach out to me if you have any questions.

Thank you.
