OhSoGOOD News

It was so great having our halls filled with families for Open House on Tuesday! Our packed classrooms and hallways are a testament to our community's commitment to our youngest Cohasset students. Students were proud to show off their work and the spaces where they spend their days. Also, the meeting with second grade families was productive and child-focused. And thank you, PSO and families, for providing such a wonderful luncheon for staff the following day. Not only is it nice to not have to pack a lunch after a late night at school...it feels wonderful to be so spoiled with nourishing foods and satisfying treats!

Let's keep the momentum for a great year going!

Kindly,
Amy

Cohasset Public Schools is proud to partner with jemele adams as we work together to build community and a sense of belonging for all. First and second grade classes will join Deer Hill students for an assembly on the Deer Hill playground to begin the conversations and activities around love, inclusion, and trust. It will align with the presentation CPS staff members participated in on our opening day (you would have read about in Dr. Shannon's newsletter). Preschool and Kindergarten classes will have their assemblies on the Big Stairs.

We will meet in the cafeteria. You are welcome to use the link below to join virtually.

Mrs. Gaudette will send the link to register via email at noon on Friday, 25 September. Please remember that each child may register for one class. Classes are limited this fall...there will be more offerings in later sessions.

For the safety of all students, please use this list to choose snacks that are allowed at the Osgood School. Students eat snacks in their classrooms and we want to be sure to keep everyone safe from allergens in their classroom.

Please pack your child's snack separate from their lunch. We have accommodations for allergens in the cafeteria, so families may pack anything you like for lunch.

Please review this letter from Dr. Shannon regarding important resources for Cohasset families.

Here is a link to the Cohasset Public Schools Food Services page. It has information about free school lunch and breakfast. The menus are updated!

For information regarding school transportation, please visit the transportation page on the new CPS website. All students must be registered through transportation to ride the bus. However, buses are full at this time and they are placing students on wait lists.

If your family is impacted by the potential loss of SNAP benefits, we encourage you to reach out to your child's school counselor or the following Cohasset community resources. You are not alone. We are here to help and support you.
