Welcome to the BHS Express
A newsletter keeping you informed about Batavia High School
Hello Bulldog Families.
Today was a busy one with all of the festive activities at BHS! Our staff members got into the spirit with some pretty creative door/room decorations, and our students were treated to trick or treating during Advisory.
With the approach of November, BHS continues to stay busy as next week is about half way through the second quarter, and our athletic boosters will be hosting The Bulldog Social next Saturday.
Thank you for helping your students stay focused as we approach the upcoming breaks. This is often the time of year when they become distracted and struggle keeping up with their schoolwork. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to teachers if you have any questions.
We hope you enjoy your weekend.
In service to our Bulldogs.

Hello Families,
It’s been a great week with all of the Hope Squad activities, the door decorating contest, the costume contest, and a little candy for the kids. A huge thank you to everyone who participated and helped judge the contests. We couldn’t have done it without you.
Also, it’s hard to believe that we have approached November and are 3 weeks into the 2nd quarter. Overall our attendance and reduced numbers of tardies have improved. Thank you for getting the kids here safely if you’re driving them.
Lastly, please remind your student drivers to arrive safely and to please park in their assigned parking spot.
Thank you, and have a nice weekend.

The FAFSA Application opened October 1!!!!
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for students entering or attending college for the 2026-27 academic year is up and running! Any student that is thinking about attending any type of education/training after high school should complete the FAFSA - technical school, trade school, community college, public university, or private university. The FAFSA is what determines your eligibility for student loans, grants, work-study, and scholarships - thus, it is VERY important that you complete and submit it. Keep in mind, all students are eligible for student loans! We will continue to share information and helpful resources with you and your family as we receive it!
The Ohio Department of Higher Education would like to share that the 2026-27 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available for all families to complete. Families who want to start filling out the FAFSA now can start the process at studentaid.gov.
For additional assistance with FAFSA completion, please visit itsforyou.org, and look under the “Looking for FAFSA Help?” section for more information
