This year Halloween falls on a school day. As a reminder, Galax High School students and staff do not wear Halloween costumes to school. We will also share this information with students via email and on our school's daily announcements.

The freshman class had a strong start to the school year!

Every year, the Galax Maroon Tide Band must obtain two superior ratings; in each of their marching assessment and concert assessment, to achieve Virginia Honor Band status.

On Wednesday, they traveled to Salem participate in the marching assessment. We left with our first SUPERIOR!!!!!

Want to see them in action? Consider traveling to Pulaski on Saturday, November 1st for their next competition. Then, it's on to get our 2nd superior at the concert assessment in March.
