Hello, Sentinel Families! As we wrap up conference week, we want to thank you for your partnership and share a few reminders to help keep our students safe, supported, and engaged in learning.

Conferences.
Thank you to everyone who attended school conferences this week. Please remember that our partnership is continuous and never-ending. Conferences are just a checkpoint—supporting your student is an ongoing team effort. As new questions, wonderings, or challenges come up throughout the school year, please continue reaching out to your student's teachers.

Costumes.
Just a reminder that students need to continue to follow our school dress code. This means students cannot wear or bring anything that may be considered a safety concern or cause disruption to the educational process. This also specifically prohibits wearing face coverings or face makeup that would make it difficult to easily identify the student.

Activity Bus:
Starting next week, we will be adding an additional activity bus on Tuesdays. This bus will operate on the same schedule as our Thursday activity bus, departing SHS at 3:15. If your student is new to riding the activity bus, the bus driver can identify where their stop will be.

Our E-Pass System is up and running!
This tracks student time out of class during the school day. Whether a student needs to use the restroom, see their counselor or go to the nurse, they electronically sign out each period and sign back in when they return. This can be helpful in identifying how often a student may be leaving class throughout the day. This will also identify any students out of class if an emergency were to occur. Any teacher, counselor or administrator can provide this information to you if you are interested in your student’s data.

Dear SHS Families,

As part of our ongoing Advisory lessons, students are participating in our second Digital Citizenship lesson, focused on building awareness of how their online choices impact themselves and others.

Through discussion and reflection, students will explore what it means to be responsible digital citizens, think critically about their online interactions, and consider how to make thoughtful decisions in digital spaces.

Continue the conversation at home: Ask your student, “How do the choices you make online impact how others see you and how you see yourself?”

Our goal is to help students develop the skills and confidence to navigate the digital world safely, responsibly, and respectfully.

Show your Sentinel pride! Follow these easy steps to purchase your BSU merchandise.

Step 1: Scan the QR Code
Scan the QR code on the flyer. It will take you directly to BSU Merchandise.

Step 2: Choose Your Fanwear
Go to the images and select the shirt or hoodie you would like to purchase. Each item has a number.

Step 3: Enter Your Item and Size
In the Memo box, type the item number and the size of the shirt or hoodie you want.

• Example: Shirt #1, Size Large

• Example: Hoodie #5, Size XL

• Beanie: If you would like to purchase a beanie, type “Beanie” in the Memo box.

Step 4: Pick Up Your Order
You or your student can pick up your fan wear at either location:

• At a home game

• At the Attendance Office between 2:15 PM and 3:30 PM

The Steilacoom High School Booster Club would love for you to join us. We meet the second Monday of each month in the SHS Library.

Join the Sentinels Booster Club for an ’80s-themed Murder Mystery Dinner Party on November 7, 2026, from 6–9 p.m. at the Steilacoom Community Center! Enjoy an evening of dinner, mystery, and a raffle while supporting the Class of 2027’s end of year activities.
