From the Desk of Principal Cherry

Hello West Families-

Welcome to the 2nd quarter. Our Team Color Day was a huge success and students were able to see not only how they are a part of West but also part of a "team". We will continue to do some team building activities throughout the year. In addition, our "Pink Out" which is entirely student driven, was on Oct. 24th. Students not only wore pink to bring attention to Breast Cancer, but also wrote messages to patients fighting breast cancer in our local hospitals. We are also continuing with our Character Education lessons every other Wednesday.

Our virtual parent teacher conferences were very well attended. If you were not able to "meet" with your child's teachers, please feel free to contact teachers by email. If at any time you have questions or concerns, do not hesitate to reach out to us.

November 2-Virtual Learning Day

On Tuesday, November 2, students will not physically attend school but will be attending school virtually. Teachers will be available on Tuesday by either Google Meets or email during regular class time. Students are expected to be engaged in school either through a Google Meet, email, or working on assignment whether in Google Classroom or with a hard copy of an assignment. Each teacher will give directions and expectations to students prior to November 2nd.

There will not be any games or practices on this day either.

Parent Survey Still Available

If you have not yet completed the parent survey, please take a few minutes to complete it. We love to hear from our parents. It will be available until Nov. 5th.
