President Massa attended the ED-RED Summit along with Member Garrett and Member Haring held at the Lake County Regional Office of Education.

Superintendent

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Michael Amadei recognized all the activities that took place at the end of the school year including the various events across the community. Dr. Amadei recognized those Special Olympic athletes who competed earlier this month at Illinois State University. Our D62 athletes received three first places, one second, one third and one fourth. Dr. Amadei thanked all those who participated as well as all those who volunteered their time to support our young athletes.

Dr. Amadei commented on the open investigation that began as a result of fraudulent activity that was identified in May involving one of the district accounts. Because this is an active investigation, the district cannot provide further comment at this time in order to protect the integrity of the process. However, Dr. Amadei commended the Des Plaines Police Department for their support throughout the investigation.
