Math:

This past Friday was our last day to switch teachers for math. On Tuesday, my students will stay with me for math and learn about partitioning shapes. Specifically, we will partition shapes into equal parts with equal areas. Students will be bringing home their math workbooks early in the week.

Reading:

We will complete our read-aloud by Kate DiCamillo, "The Tale of Despereux," as well as view the movie (which is G). We will have discussions around similarities and differences between the movie and the book.

Writing:

Students will share their design-thinking projects with their classmates. All the products were the result of students empathizing with those who live in areas with severe weather or natural disaster.

In addition, the class will continue working on their 3rd Grade Memory Books.
