Dear Falcon Families,
Our fifth graders spent this week at Science Camp, and when I went up to visit, they were having a wonderful time. They hiked, gathered around campfires, made their own lunches, went swimming, had up close encounters with some interesting critters, and so much more. I am so proud of them for taking on this new adventure. It is a privilege to be able to bring our students to such a beautiful place, where they can practice being independent and build confidence in themselves. I hope you will continue to encourage the growth and new skills they developed while they were away. Ask them to pack their own lunch or gather up the laundry. They are ready!
This morning, it was great to see so many families here cheering on our students in the costume parade. Thank you for being such a big part of our school community. While we didn't have families sign-in for the parade, next week, we will begin using Raptor for all visitor and volunteer check-ins. Please read the section below to learn about the requirements. All families will need to check in through this system for school events, including those who have not completed the volunteer requirements. Visitors who are not cleared will have limited time on campus and must be supervised by a staff member at all times. This includes daytime family events. If you are interested in being cleared for volunteering, I still have vouchers available for families who need help with the cost of fingerprinting. Please reach out to me if you would like one.

The Raptor IPAD Check- In System will begin for all visitors and volunteers starting next Friday, November 6th, 2026 including all Cambrian District Campuses.
Raptor helps us know who is on campus at all times. Signing in with Raptor may take a few minutes longer. We ask for your patience and understanding as we make our school campuses more safe and secure.

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to our library next week! (Nov. 2nd - 6th) Every purchase directly supports our school, and we need your help to make it a success:
Shop & Support: Visit the library during lunch and after school each day, or join us for evening shopping on Tuesday, 11/3 (5-7 p.m.). Head to our fair site to set up your student’s eWallet, shop online, or contribute to Share the Fair, so every student brings home a book!
Volunteer: We can’t keep the doors open without volunteers! Sign up for a shift here.
Hour recent photo day portraits are now ready to view/order online:
- You may scan the QR slip that was given on Picture Day to view/order your photos
- Picture packages are mailed directly to your home
- No QR slip? No problem! Please visit fmc.generationsschoolphotography.com.
- Click on "Find My Code" to look up your child's gallery code
- You will need their student ID number (which can be found on their ID card or with your school)
Re-Take Day:
If you are not satisfied with your child's photo Re-Take Day is next Friday, November 6th. If you would like to have your child retake his/her photo, please inform his/her teacher. Students who were absent on Picture Day (Friday, Sept. 25th) will be allowed to have their picture next Friday as well.
Mark your calendars for our next Walk to School Wednesday, November 18th. On this special day we honor Ruby Bridges’ as she made her brave walk to school this month in 1960. Learn more about Rudy Bridges with our Project Cornerstone November book, Ruby Bridges Walks to School.
