Pick Up/Drop Off Procedures, Parking & Volunteers
Morning Drop-Off Procedures π
To help every student start the day safely and smoothly, please keep the following in mind:
-
Building Entry: Parents are not permitted inside the building during morning drop-off. While we know it can be hard to say goodbye at the door, this practice encourages student independence and helps us maintain a safe and efficient campus.
-
Elementary Students (PK4 β 5th Grade): Please drop off at the cafeteria entrance, where staff will be ready to welcome your child and guide them to their classroom.
-
Middle School Students (6th β 8th Grade): Please drop off at the outside door past the tennis courts and blacktop. Staff members will be present to greet and assist students as they enter.
-
Drop-Off Times: Students may begin arriving at 7:45 AM. The tardy bell rings at 8:40 AM, so please plan accordingly to ensure your child has a calm and prepared start to their day.
-
β οΈ No Early Drop-Offs: For safety reasons, children may not be dropped off before 7:45 AM, as staff are not available for supervision. Students left unattended before this time are considered unsupervised, and per state law, we are obligated to contact the proper authorities.
Afternoon Pick-Up Procedures π
-
Carpool Line: To help us keep the carpool line moving smoothly, please roll down your window and share your studentβs name(s) with Mr. Rose or Mr. LaCour. This small step makes a big difference in helping everyone get home on time.
-
Carpool Tags Coming Soon: We are so excited to announce that the Stoller family is generously providing Dealey carpool tags for all families this year. What a thoughtful gift to support our communityβthank you, Stoller family!
-
Timely Pick-Up: For the safety and well-being of all students, please plan to pick up your child(ren) by 4:00 PM each afternoon. After 4:00 PM, students will be brought inside the building for supervision. If students remain on campus after 4:30 PM, we are required by state law to contact the proper authorities to ensure they are safely cared for.
School Parking & Visitor Guidelines π¦ (All Year)
To help us keep our campus safe and efficient for students, families, and staff, please review the following reminders:
-
Carpool Lane Parking: π No parking is allowed in the carpool lane 7:45β8:35 AM and 3:15β4:00 PM daily. Keeping this lane clear ensures smooth traffic flow and safe drop-off and pick-up for all families.
-
Bus Lane Parking: π No parking is allowed in the bus lane 7:45β8:35 AM and 3:15β4:00 PM daily. This area must remain clear during these times for buses to safely load and unload students.
-
Reserved Parking β 24/7 Rule: π« Visitor parking is never permitted in the reserved spots on the left side of the carpool lane or in either of the teacher parking lots. Cars parked in these areas are subject to immediate towing. This guarantees staff have access to safe, reliable parking so they can begin their workday on time.
-
Visitor Parking: All visitors should park along Edgemere Road or in the surrounding neighborhood streets.
-
Campus Entry: If you need to visit our campus, please enter through the front doors on Royal Lane and ring the doorbell. After a quick security check, you will be buzzed into the main office. All visitors must check in at the main office immediately upon entry.
